Hopefully xD I have the beak hat as well, and I tend to put it on when my friends go afk...and then when they appear they have heart attack <3
What's wrong with looking like a stripper? My dragoon is already pole dancing for the loots. He should at least dress for the part.As much as I agree on letting males wear bunny ears, I don't think Blade and Soul is the best example. The outfits in that game are ludicrous, the type you'd find strippers wearing. The last thing I'd want is for SE to take inspiration from the likes of Blade & Soul, TERA, etc.
To each their own, as I said, I moved away from those games because high level armour looked like I was a stripper. Just a personal preference but I don't enjoy like my character looking like she just gave an Ul'dahn rich Lalafell merchant a stripdance. I'm glad that Yoshida didn't take that game in that direction, but they don't need to. What I'm okay with? Swimsuits, those are realistic and aren't high level armour, they're just event items and the the Thavnair sets fit into the lore, while maintaining a look of elegance and those are great to me. What I don't enjoy is blatant fanservice, I'll post a few examples... uhh, NSFW I guess?:
I'm actually of the opinion that the censored versions look far better, but it's quite clear why F2P games go that route and it's due to them bringing more $$$. They keep the running from cash shop income unlike FFXIV.
If SE's not making money from the cash shop, they should just get rid of it and put all that stuff in-game, then.
I would take the gear designs of all those games > ANY gear in ffxiv. FFXIV gear is hideous and extremely limiting. As much as I agree on letting males wear bunny ears, I don't think Blade and Soul is the best example. The outfits in that game are ludicrous, the type you'd find strippers wearing. The last thing I'd want is for SE to take inspiration from the likes of Blade & Soul, TERA, etc.
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
lololol just...wowI'm not against the idea of people dressing their characters in dresses, bunny ears, a wedding dress on a male character, have at it! What I am sick of is the oversexualized outfits of other MMOs, it's one of the reasons I stray away from MMORPGs such as TERA or B&S, I'm sorry but 90% of the party looking like they work as medieval strippers doesn't appeal to me.
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
Kinda derailed, but some of BnS vanity have some non-gender locked gear like this (NSFW)
On topic, making bunny ears as unisex will goes pretty nice step to equality IMO![]()
I don't consider any of these hideous, or limiting (whatever that's supposed to mean) in anyway, but to each their own.
Image heavy:
I googled Paladin AF1, and found this (modified) FFXI version, this is the stuff you'd find in TERA and is what I'd consider rather ugly, and limiting in terms of defense in battle. NSFW:

It'd be nice if you didn't cherry pick Blade and Soul's outfits, especially bringing up the non-NA/EU version censorship.
There are plenty of outfits that are not fan service, such as this one.
It really isn't fair to cherry pick BnS outfits when we don't purposely pick out the various fan service outfits in FF 14.
