What is the point of the increased spiritbond rates in Diadem if you can't convert the bad roll 210s to possible grade 5s? Is this intended? All other pink gear in the game is convertible.

It seems like you should change them for the tokens and then change the tokens into materia.
but at all you can change your equipment in the diadem to spiritbound the new craftable equipment.
Pink WAS always convertable but look at the names of the new pink equipment, but the colour only indicates there rarity. Until now pink stuff was "ätherisch" in german, don't know the englisch pattern for this maybe etheric or etheral, so it was just craftable stuff with bonus at all. Now we have some new pink stuff why they choosed to make it pink instead of blue or green is unknow but never asume to convert stuff to materia only by it's colour. Most green stuff is unconvertable ether, craftet green stuff is. So stop crying please.
I guess they wanted to make crafters specialist items relevant as those ilvl185 sky pirate items are highest you can SB and convert atm.

Nothing new here. Current highest gear in the game has never convertible until usually two patches later. Several dungeon/raid pieces are never convertible they just become turn-ins to Grand Companies for seals. The fact that they spirit bond is just a misnomer many times.

I converted 5 pieces of Sky Pirate and got 2 Tier V materia. The stuff is pretty cheap to make, but they give Tier V materia away now for practically nothing.
