Fenrir mount fly?

I know that at the moment it doesn't but at 1 million MGP, is there any indication or plan to make it fly? From the released stats that SE gave, fenrir is still in the top 5 rare mounts. I'm approaching 1 million MGP and really want to get it but if it doesn't fly.. what much point is it?

Why does every mount have to fly to be worth it? Can you fly in ARR areas? No? Then its worth it. Use other mounts that fly in HW areas. If SE makes it fly then use it but not all mounts have to fly to be special

Because people rarely go outside of HW areas? What's the point of purchasing one of the most difficult mount to attain in terms of grinding if you can't use it 90% of the time? Can I use my fenrir mount in diadem? Sure but will it be effective? Nope. Can I use it in any HW area? Sure. But is it smart to do that? Nope. 1 million MGP, one of the most annoying CURRENCY to grind, and listed as top 5 rare mount IS a reason to be special.
So back to my question. Does anybody know if there are plans to do so?

Basically no, there is not. There is absolutely zero reason or purpose for it to fly, given the fact it is not actually the Fenrir, as in, the reoccurring summon monster, but.... just a plain, regular wolf that was trained to be used as a mount that was given the name of the breed's legendary alpha male (the end boss of Snowcloak).

Wolves both in real life and here in FFXIV do not fly, so neither does the mount. Besides, there are plenty of other flying mounts in the game to fly around with. Just because it costs 1 million MGP does entitle it to fly. That was just a time sink to stop players consuming the GS content rapidly simply to get the mount. But sadly like other attempts to force players to pace themselves it didn't quite work out that way.

Also, if you think there is no reason to visit the ARR zones... then you're only restricting your own enjoyment if all you do is sit in Idyllshire and spam endgame stuff for tomes. But that is a different topic to what's being said here so I'll say no more on my opinion on that.

What you said can go both ways. I'm not restricting my own enjoyment just because I don't revisit old areas. There are stuff outside of ARR zones that requires me to revisit.
I was wondering about fenrir because it is within the top 5 rare mounts that is either difficult to attain. I'm hoping for a flying mount that is more unique.

Never fear, the dev. team is currently looking into giving Fenrir the ability to fly!
