2.0 new character creation options. Will current players get a chance to redesign?

I couldn't be happier for the new character creation mentioned in the new content list specifically:

Complete redesign of character creation screens and process.
Addition of Miqo'te males, Highland Hyur and Roegadyn females for version 2.0.
Creation of more character customization options (e.g. , hairstyle).
Ability to walk and view character in game environments and use emotes as part of creation process.

But the thing that has me worried is will the current players get a chance to re-make their current character using this new system? I feel like a one time re-do on my character would be the fair thing for the devs to let us do. What about you guys? How do you think this would work out?

One of the PDFs mention that. You'll be able to redo your race and sex and such.

I too would like this option.

Not that I'd personally use it, my character is already perfect, but still. It's an important option to have for all committed customers.

"The new graphics engine will cause certain objects to display differently than they do in the current version. Because of this, we will allow all current players the opportunity to re-customize the race, gender, and appearance of their characters upon the implementation of the new engine."

Do note that this will be around a year from now, when the new client is released.
