    Dear Japan

Dear The entire country of Japan,

Hello. I am Alt. I'm one of the officers of the endgame LS "Rapture co" on the server Wutai (which is a duh, this is the Wutai forums). We have a lot of members from various places like the Us, UK, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Japan so were pretty damn diverse. Any who, I am speaking on behalf of myself so here is what I have to say.

This morning I awoke and got a text from a friend of mine that there had been an earthquake+tsunami+fire+nuclear plant not wanting to shut down+blackouts. First thoughts were "Oh **** Syu and May!". After checking forums I found Syu is ok and so is my RL friend May (phew!). However lucky those two were a lot of people were not and I bet some of our Japanese friends on Wutai may have lost a relative or two. To those people and their families I am sorry for your loss(es). To those looking for family members or friends I hope you find them. As for Hawaii and the west coast I hope that everything is ok there (I know Washington is fine, 1.7ft wave) and everyone's family is safe.

Also I have something to say to Naoki Yoshida and square enix staff. I think there are offices in Tokyo (which got hit) so I hope everyone there and their families are safe. It is 100% understandable if there isn't a patch for a long time and I would rather that y'all take your time to settle family matters than stress on getting a patch out. But you don't need my permission for that o-o;; do what you guys do best! I'd like to take the time for thanking you for making this game enjoyable over the past few months. It has improved a lot and has provided a lot of memorable experiences I'll keep with myself for the rest of my life. Thank you.

I know this isn't quite on topic or game related but mind you its something that is important. Specifically the whole human aspect of it. Even with some of our Server rivalries we gotta stop every once in awhile to join give others best wishes. Just sayin. If you devs or moderators up there could find a way to translate this letter (if you feel its necessary or want to) so that the Japanese players or staff can understand my disjointed rambles that would be awesome. D: I'd like to at least let them know I (or whoever else wishes to add to this) hope they are doing ok and I don't speak Japanese so its kind of hard to do that ;_;!. Don't have to though.

Any who in short. Japan, my heart is with you. Please be safe and I wish you well on recovery. Stay strong *fist bump*.

    -Alty

    Im with ya Alty!

To all of the people in Japan, Square Enix staff and affiliates, please take care of yourselves and loved ones first. The game can wait, human lives are what's important. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people in Japan and those affected by this tragic event.

To those wanting to make a difference, take some time and make some donations that work for you to help the people of Japan. Let's all help each other out, you never know when one day we'll find ourselves in similar shoes and be the ones that will be in need of some help. United we stand and divided we fall! One love everyone!

    p.s.

Here are 2 examples of how to donate and help make a difference.

TXT the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10.00 Donation (Link Below for further details)

I posted this to my LS forums as well, and figured, this could be useful here too.

Many of us cant go over seas to give a helping hand, so here are alternatives, all charities are giving to Japan, to help the relief efforts. ~ Xeno Zero

Japan was hit by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded on Friday. The magnitude-8.9 quake spawned a deadly tsunami that slammed into the nation's east coast, leaving a huge swath of devastation in its wake. Hundreds of people are dead and many more are still missing or injured.

Japan has often donated when other countries have experienced disasters, such as when Hurricane Katrina impacted the United States. Below are organizations that are working on relief and recovery in the region.

AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help. Donate here.

GLOBALGIVING: Established a fund to disburse donations to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and tsunami. Donate here.

SAVE THE CHILDREN: Mobilizing to provide immediate humanitarian relief in the shape of emergency health care and provision of non-food items and shelter. Donate here.

SALVATION ARMY: The Salvation Army has been in Japan since 1895 and is currently providing emergency assistance to those in need. Donate here.

AMERICARES: Emergency team is on full alert, mobilizing resources and dispatching an emergency response manager to the region. Donate here.

CONVOY OF HOPE: Disaster Response team established connection with in-country partners who have been impacted by the damage and are identifying the needs and areas where Convoy of Hope may be of the greatest assistance. Donate here.

INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL CORPS: Putting together relief teams, as well as supplies, and are in contact with partners in Japan and other affected countries to assess needs and coordinate our activities. Donate here.

SHELTER BOX: The first team is mobilizing to head to Japan and begin the response effort. Donate here.

I hope everyone in Japan is well and ok as well. I know there were some people killed, and some accounted for. My heart goes out to them.
