A Smart Party's Guide to Getting Aetherial Currrents in Diadem
aka. ASPGGACD... just rolls off the tongue!
Okay, so this relies mostly on one thing: Healers not healing anyone. Ever.
Ideally you want two tanks for this bit, but it can be done with one if you have other people helping.
If you don't have a healer but have another job with a raise spell, that'll do. If you're full of healers and paladins, it's basically rockin' from the get-go.
Anyway.
Tank leads. Tank rounds up mobs on the way to current. Everyone else better be hot on his tail, because he won't live all that long on his own and he'll get heavy and so forth. If he does, someone (preferrably another tank) will need to carry on for him with rounding up mobs. Meanwhile, all others - notably healers - head to the current that the tank is aiming for.
The tank stops short of the current while everyone goes to it. Lives as long as he can. STAYS WITHIN RAISE DISTANCE. Gets raised by healer who is at the current. All is well with the world, because provide ONLY the tank got hate on mobs, the mobs will then return to wherever they were prior to getting hate, and the tank can be raised hate-free (and everyone else should also be hate-free) at the current.
One current down, three to go. Follow that system as closely as you can. Some may die on the way. They should return and keep trying to evade mobs and get things, and likely die a lot. Sucks to be you, buddy. If too many of you die, regroup together. It's important to not end up all split apart because then things just get far too messy.
The main thing is the healers must NEVER get hate. Ever. If they so much as pull the slightest of hate, it all falls apart. If you follow this system you should absolutely not be curing.
Once the healers (and hopefully others) have got all 4 aetherial currents and therefore flight, they can help pave the way for anyone who pulled hate and couldn't get all currents. Everyone gets flight in very short time using this method. Yay for all. Enjoy Dino Island zerging.
If you can manage to doge pulling aggro altogether (hey, it can happen) then awesome. If you have to fight because a mob is camping on a current eternally, so be it, do it the old fashioned way, that's fine. But for the most part, if everyone knew this system (and most do, thankfully) then everyone would get their loot a lot faster. So I figured someone had to type it up somewhere to help "spread the word".
EDIT: Oh, and other important tips...
- You can lose hate without dying by using the "tornado" wind jumps that go from island to island. You can jump straight back without issue now that you've lost hate.
- If you have a mob camping on a current and want to avoid a lengthy fight, you can, but a few people are going to die, including healers. Basically one tank and a healer pull the mob away while everyone gets the current. Then another tank (yeah, you'll need two) provokes the mob while the first tank goes to get the current. Healers can similarly switch. But you all have hate now so you have a slight problem if it's not the final aether current. If it's one of the first three aether currents, my advice would be to simply kill the camping mob.
