A true paladin... will sheathe his sword.

In my opinion the companion system needs to be redone.
1.) Any mount should be able to be our companion just add unique skills how ffxi did with their trust system. (Each companion has it's own role) (plus a new role called hybrid for some companions like chocobos)
2.) We need to be able to use them while queued, entering a instance quest, etc after completing our duty solo they should reappear at our side.
3.) shouldn't require greens to summon. it feels like a clunky system. Just allow us to summon them from a list.
4.) better AI why is my healer standing right next to me? Why does it only use choco medica.
5) auto dismiss when entering a party without space. (First summoned first replaced)
6) allow us to use them in dungeons as temp party members they are auto dismiss when someone joins.
So many ways the companion system should have worked instead of what it is. Currently it feels like a rush system the best solution is to scrap it and remake it correctly. Heck ff11 a 15 year old game has a better companion system

Probably the most half-baked thing in the entire game (sans gear glamour restrictions). Maddeningly so. Someone somewhere put it into words very nicely: like 3rd party mods that try to force something into the game which the game's code/system is just not able to handle...except, you know, this is actually officially part of the game, which makes it that much worse. Something like that.
Things like this that are remnants of...earlier times should really take priority and get fixed - sooner rather than later.
Yeah I wrote that completely forgetting you can level them via stable training. XD
But I try to do it the old monster-grinding way, which is next to never because I'm almost always on queue waiting for something to pop up.
