SE - What are you doing about GIL SPAMMING?

Well its been a while since Ive been here in the fourms...

Recently, I have been receiving spam messages and junks more than I could bear. My blacklist is always full and to be honest this is becoming a lot more frustrating than before.

What have SE done about that? Restricting friends request to 5 per day. That is a good improvement but the main problem remains. The /tell messages are open and spam messages are increasing since day 1.

So what can be done about this problem? I would suggest restricting all /tell messages to Friends, Free Company Members, Linkshell members and Party members. Hopefully, I would not need to maximize my chat log window and search for recent friends and system messages in a junk of information.

I would appreciate if you can update on this issue. Feel free to share your opinion and let’s keep this post active!

If they would give us a right-click report feature like WoW has this problem would quickly be solved. I haven't seen a gold spammer on WoW in years.

I second this! Would love a right click report feature like WoW has. Granted, i never see Gil-sellers being on Balmung and all. But i think that feature would help the game overall.

While I can see, that RMT is annoying as hell, even though it massively decreased on Cerberus since HW, this quoted idea of yours is just bad.
This is an MMO, you just can't cut the tells with friends, FCs or linkshells.

That would be a massive issue for many people, including me, who likes to have simultaneous chats with different people on my FL, my FC or LS.

It's incredibly bad on Diabolos, my server. If I don't use /busy or a seperate chat window to filter tells I get a gil seller tell about every 5 minutes on average. It's ridiculous and very very annoying.

He's not saying prevent tells from friends/fc/ls/pt, he's saying let there be an option so that only those groups can send you tells.

This is the second worst thing I have ever heard someone wanting to do with /tells. The first place goes to SE for not allowing them in dungeons. Just. Terrible.

I cant understand why its worst. what Im suggesting is to /tell and receive message from people you know whether they are in parties, your friends list and fc members and any other group your authorize to communicate with instead of keeping your pm open for junks which SE is failing to solve. A bit tighter and planned communication system would give you a peace of mind while crafting, battling or chatting with your friends. Where is the problem with that?
