It would be cool, and I'd love it, but it might cause some serious balance issues.
See, I disagree with that statement. Because this is not suggesting for any sort of increase in a PLD's DPS, which is what's crippling them at end game hardcore content. Instead, what this would hopefully do is bring balance to the 3 tanks again, so that now, there is a value to a PLD being brought to save healer's from having to do a res for a downed DPS. You'd have to choose between more DPS from a tank to meet the dps checks, or if you'd rather have a safety net.

Raise currently uses up over half of a PLD's MP (unless the stacked some piety for some reason). Most likely, a PLD would combo a raise with a Clemency to follow soon after, which would result in them draining their MP. Sure, we have an easier means to access more MP using riot blade (which gives ~400-450 mp back) and then sheltron. But sheltron requires we be hit and block an attack and most likely, this scenario would occur for an OT, not a MT. Essentially meaning, regaining MP would take some time. Yes, we could get MP back up to use it again later, but with the amount of time it would take for a manual raise to go through from a PLD, a healer could of swiftcast res and healed someone back to full hp. A total of 11 seconds would be required for a PLD to raise someone and give them a clemency heal (which i doubt would fully heal someone back, but it'd give a decent chunk).
