Doesn't Livia or Gaius say something like, "See you in the bedroom" during a cutscene? Now I'm imagining Gaius in his underpants but still wearing his helmet.... In the shower with this helmet.... brushing his teeth on the helmet...

Haha, I've been toying with the idea of an alternate universe (or rather, alternate history) for Hydaelyn/Eorzea too, based on how version 1.0's original storyline seemed to be leading to (before the staff changes and Yoshi took over and it was re-purposed for the changeoever to ARR). In other words, a world where the Calamity never happened, an Ascian named Travenchet is still canon, Nael van Darnus does not exist, the Archons eventually team up with the Path of the Twelve (and it's never renamed either!), the player can use the Echo at will, and Dalamud is still in the sky (but instead of being Bahamut's prison/aether filter for the Crystal Tower, it's.... well, exactly what it is would be what the player is tasked to find out!)

I think Gaius said something along the line of 'give me your report in my room' or something, heavily implying there's something going on between the two, yeah. I would have to take a look where exactly that was, but I think it was shortly before we rescue our fellow Scions from them.

This may be off topic, but in FFXI, I really love the two alternate worlds Dynamis and Abyssea. Both of them are versions of Vana'diel where particular villains were never defeated. For Eorzea, it would be interesting to see what would have happened if Bahamut hadn't been stopped, or if the Ultima Weapon weren't destroyed, or Thordan wasn't stopped.

Oh head-canons, always fun!

Both the Warrior of Light and the Edgelander Warrior of Darkness are actually Allagan Manikins (similar to Dissidia's Warrior of Light), created long after their fall because their facilities are pretty good at staying operational for long periods of time (even if maintinence needs to be looked at).

Alt head-canon: Derplander and Edgelander are twin brothers, which only really matters for SE's promotional stuff as he isn't related to any other possible WoL.

One day we will travel to the Void again (not Void Ark raids, after that), and we will fight Gilgamesh again...then we will have tea in his house that he built during a long stretch of not being sent anywhere randomly.
