It was a rant, abouy how people are rude. Not me asking them to come back idk why everyone is assuming this, did they read the description?

I am saying I want these items back so people don't keep making threads about them coming back, and starting fights about exclusivity. People on both sides have valid points, so these fights aren't going away otherwise.
And in exchange for having put in that time/money/effort you have that something. Nobody is taking it away from you. You wanted something. You did an event either because you liked the event or because you wanted its items, so now you have those items. So you're good regardless of what ends up happening later with other players getting those items or not. It has no bearing on you either way.
I'm just hoping they don't come out with half a dozen again that are identical except for color. Honestly, why couldn't we have just gotten briefs and had them be dyable rather than getting the red briefs and the blue briefs and the green briefs and the gold briefs, ... (sigh)
And so does this game, but there's a difference between a company making a limited edition item and customers who've bought a regular (non-limited) item telling the company to stop making it so that it will become exclusive.
When 1.x was closing, SE apologized to their customers for having to shut the game down for a while and offered them a couple exclusives if they come back when the game re-opens. They got the legacy tattoo and I think it was the legacy chocobo. (Was the old style gobbue mount part of that as well, or just something that was only released during 1.0? I'm not sure, as I'm not legacy. If so, then that counts as well.) Those were offered as exclusives so should always stay exclusive.
When 1.0 first released, then again when 2.0 first released and when the 3.0 expansion first released, people were offered exclusive extras if they would buy the game or expansion in advance. Those pre-order bonuses were explicitly offered as exclusives that would no longer be available after release. They were sold as exclusives, so should always stay exclusive.
Where I (and a number of other people from what I've read) have a problem is with the people who want SE to change things that came out as regular items, with no offer of exclusivity on them, and change course to make them exclusive (after they've gotten their own copy of course). This would include things like the items from seasonal or promotional events. The Lightning outfit, for example, was never an exclusive, so there's no reason to make it one now.
The full Collector's Edition, with all the physical content is also still available. It's not and never has been a Limited edition. There's nothing exclusive about it except that some people chose to buy it and others chose not to. (It's an actual edition of the game, though. The CE "upgrade" has always been digital only.)

To "stop making" something you'd have to currently be making it, and if that were the case, this thread wouldn't be happening. Time-limited event items are time limited. The event announcements explicitly say the event cannot be completed after it's concluded. The only people telling SE to do anything here are the people who want to re-run tie-in events that are no longer relevant except as a way to obtain unique items.
not always available =/= will never again be available
Using the Lightning event again as an example, its quests and gear were only available while the event ran. But they ran it three different times, so the gear went back and forth several times between being available, then unavailable, then available again. There's no pressing reason why SE couldn't run it yet again if they wanted to. We might speculate about how likely that is to happen (and personally I think it won't) but nothing in how that event or its gear were offered says it won't be available again.
Seasonal events are similar. So far, I haven't seen SE repeat the same event activities from one year to the next. A number of other games do so, though, and SE might decide to do so if a particular event was especially popular. A lot of event rewards have been offered again at the following year's event. Not all of them, but any or all of them could be offered again in future. There's no promise from SE in either direction, neither that everything will always come available again, nor that any of it will become exclusive by never being offered again.
Well, one group is asking either for events to run again or at least for items to be available again. Another group is demanding that those items be made exclusive by never offering them again. But the former group is generally giving "this would be cool" type of suggestions, while the later group is demanding something as though they had a right to it (when in fact neither group has a right to what they ask for, both are just saying what they'd like). I find the exclusivity team's demands more annoying, because they're more apt to offer their preferences in the form of a demand.

Exclusives are for "collectors" and its made to increase the value for reselling -> Take card games where you can sell exclusive cards for more than 50000$
Reselling your account is forbidden and therefore no option, so how does it increase the value then?
"Collectors Edition", you know how to keep the value high? When you do not redeem the item codes!

I like exclusive items personally. I don't have a moogle suit or whatever and I probably don't have many exclusive items at all tbh but the idea of getting something special is appealing to me as a player and is a great incentive to do certain things.

Also "exclusive" isn't the same as limited edition. Limited edition generally means of limited time or quantity. Exclusive just means that it is only available to people who buy x or do a certain thing during a certain period.
The digital items in the HW collectors are "exclusive" to that and they are rightfully labeled as such. Meaning they are available ONLY to people who by a collectors edition or upgrade. Because anyone can buy them doesn't make them less exclusive at all as the only way to acquire them is to purchase said edition or upgrade. They are exclusive to that version of the purchase.
Also should be noted that just because something is still available to purchase doesn't mean that it is not limited. Limited means a set number of production in this context. If they made 10,000 and sold only 8,000, then 2,000 are still available. The quantity is still limited just not sold out. Now if they start actively producing more it would no longer be limited.
True, however even if the item goes from exclusive/special - Common it doesnt really matter. You got said item first, years and years before other people. Isnt that more special than others using the item as an excuse to brag and say "haha I have this and you dont"?
