Veteran Rewards Question

Hello! I recently picked up FF14 on Steam, and I've been running on the 30 days free account time that comes with it. I am interested in getting the veteran rewards from purchasing a recurring subscription, but I do not seem to be able to receive the rewards while the 30 free days are in effect. Will I have to wait for them to run out, thus triggering the charge for the subscription plan I selected?

Once your 30 day free trial runs out, you get a free fantasia potion (allows you to change your character's look race gender etc), a minion and I think theres another thing after

No prob, I was surprised after the free trial to get anything but I did, its awesome. Dont worry, the time will fly by as you enjoy the game c:

If you don't want to wait, you can always purchase a time card and submit it. It will count as a payment and you will get your veteran reward instantly.

But also, an additional note. You get the rewards for the total amount of what you signed for. So if you buy the 3 month subscription, once your free trial runs out, you get the vet rewards up to that point.
