    Job Idea: Spellblade

    *Please note, this was designed for fun and I do NOT expect SE to implement this in any way, shape, or form.*

    Spellblade (SPB)
    Mixed DPS with Enfeebling
    Weapon: Rapiers and other Fencing Swords
    Attack Type: Pierce
    Armor: Caster and Light Armor
    Limit Break: One for All (Caster)
    Cross Class: Arcanist and Archer
    Important Stats: INT for Damage, TP for Weapon Skills, MP for Magic

    Sharlayan fencers who infuse their blades with magicks to enchant their attacks and beguile their foes.



    Special Mechanics and Skills

    Swarmstrike
    Once the Spellblade acquires the Swarmstrike trait, several of their enfeebling skills and spells can stack upon multiple uses.
    While stacked, the debuff's timer will restart and there potency/effect's power is times by the amount of stacks said debuff has.
    A skill/spell can only have up to 3 stacks on them at a time, while a Spellblade can only stack up to 9 effects at a time.

    Skills and Spells effected by Swarmstrike
    Wasp Sting
    Featherblow
    Oil Blade
    Cleansing Strike
    Sliprain
    Shining Air

    Weapon and Spell Combos
    Spellblades can combo their Weapon Skills and Spells for various effects.
    The spells Ardor, Krysta, and Bolt, when used correctly, can grant the user buffs.

    Weapon Skills
    - Vorpal Slash: Damages a selected target. Potency of 150. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Shining Blade: Damages a selected target. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Vorpal Slash > Shining Blade: Potency of 200.
    - Divine Ruination: Damages a selected target. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Shining Blade > Divine Ruination: Potency of 300. Potency increases by 20 per Ardor, Krysta, and/or Bolt effect the user has on them.
    - Wasp Sting: Damages a selected target. Additionally, deals damage over time for 18 seconds. Potency of 60 for the initial attack, 10 for the DoT. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Featherblow: Damages a selected target. Additionally, increase the chance of landing a critical hit on the target by 5% for 18 seconds. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 5 second recast.
    - Circle Blade: Damages all foes with in 5 yalms of the user. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Mage Masher: Deals damage over time on a selected target for 15 seconds. Additionally, places an MP-Refresh on the user for 15 seconds. Potency of 60. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Sabrage: Uses all the user's Ardor, Krysta, and/or Bolt effects. Damages a selected target and places a TP refresh on all party members with in 10 yalms of the target for 15 seconds. The more effects used, the stronger the refresh. Potency of 210. Instant cast time. 200 second recast.

    Close Quarter Spells
    - Oil Blade: Damages a selected target and increases Magical Damage done onto a selected target by 5% for 18 seconds. If Cleansing Strike is at 3 stacks on a selected target, Oil Blade cannot go higher then 2 stacks. Potency of 50. Instant cast time. 10 second recast, 90 second when used a third time.
    - Cleansing Strike: Damages a selected target and increases the Physical Damage done onto a selected target by 5% for 18 seconds. If Oil Blade is at 3 stacks on a selected target, Cleansing Strike cannot go higher then 2 stacks. Potency of 50. Instant cast time. 5 second recast, 90 second when used a third time.
    - Sliprain: Damages a selected target and decreases their Attack Speed by 5% for 18 seconds. Potency of 50. Instant cast time. 5 second recast, 90 second when used a third time.
    - Doom Blade: Damages all foes with in 8 yalms of a selected target. Additionally, spreads all stacks of Wasp Sting, Oil Blade, and Cleansing Strike the target had to all that were hit. Instant cast time. 120 second recast.

    Ranged Spells
    - Ardor: Damages a selected target. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Vorpal Slash > Ardor: Increases the user's Determination by 15% for 30 seconds.
    Combo: Shining Blade > Ardor: Potency of 150.

    - Krysta: Damages a selected target. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Shining Blade > Krysta: Increases the user's damage by 10% for 20 seconds.
    Combo: Ardor > Krysta: Potency of 200.

    - Bolt: Damages a selected target. Potency of 100. Instant cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    Combo: Shining Blade > Bolt: Increases the user's chances of landing a Critical Hit by 15% for 15 seconds.
    Combo: Krysta > Bolt: Potency of 250.

    - Stasis Sword: Damages a selected target. Additionally, Stuns the selected target for 2 seconds. Potency of 80. Instant cast time. 30 second recast.
    - Shining Air: Damages a selected target. Additionally, lowers the selected target's Accuracy by 5% for 18 seconds. Potency of 50. 2 second cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Mysterio: Increase the Elemental Resistance of all party members with in 15 yalms by 15% for 30 minutes. 2 second cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - Healing Earth: Removes a single detrimental effect from target. This skill cannot be used during battle. 2.5 second cast time. 2.5 second recast.
    - White Flame: Resurrects a fallen player in a weakened condition, 5 yalms behind the user. Can be used during combat. 3 second cast time. 90 second recast.

    Other Skills
    - Magic Shell: Decrease the damage any party member with in 8 yalms of the user receives by 20% for 5 seconds. Instant cast time. 90 second recast.
    - Aspir: Reduces the TP cost of all Weapon Skills while absorbing half the damage of all Spells the user uses and converts them to TP for 15 seconds. Instant cast time. 150 second recast.
    - Remise: Causes your next Wasp Sting, Featherblow, Oil Blade, Cleansing Strike, Sliprain, or Shining Air the user uses to stack the maximum amount. Instant cast time. 60 second recast.
    - Last Letter: Places 1 stack of Wasp Sting, Oil Blade, and Cleansing Strike on a selected target (in that order). Instant cast time. 60 second recast.
    - Subterfuge: Can only be used while the user is under the effects of Ardor, Krysta, and Bolt. Increase the Accuracy of all party members with in 15 yalms of the user by 10% for 15 seconds. Instant cast time. 90 second recast.
    - Gambit: Uses up all of a selected target's stacks of Wasp Sting, Featherblow, Oil Blade, Cleansing Strike, Sliprain, and/or Shining Air and increases the amount of Damage done on both the target and user by 10% for a time equaling the number of stacks x 1.5 (rounded to the lowest, whole number). Instant cast time. 120 second recast.
    - Checkmate: Uses up all of a selected target's stacks of Wasp Sting, Featherblow, Oil Blade, Cleansing Strike, Sliprain, and/or Shining Air and damages a selected target. Potency of 40 per stack used. Instant cast time. 90 second recast.

    20. Aquaveil: Makes the user 25% less likely to be interrupted while casting a spell.
    24. Enhanced Healing Earth: Allows Healing Earth to be used during battle.
    28. Enchanced Wasp Sting: Extends Wasp Sting's duration to 21 seconds.
    32. Swarmstrike: Allows the user to place up to 3 stacks of Wasp Sting, Featherblow, Oil Blade, Cleansing Strike, Sliprain, and/or Shining Air on a selected target. The user can only place 9 stacks total of these skills/spells.
    36. Enhanced Intelligence III: Increases Intelligence by 6.
    40. Spellbound: Whenever the player lands a Critical Hit with a Weaponskill, Ardor, Krysta, and Bolt's buff duration will increase by 5 seconds.
    44. Enhanced Gambit: Shortens Gambit's recast to 90 seconds.
    48. Enhanced Mage Masher: Shortens Mage Masher's recast to 90 seconds.

    Definitely a more utility-based dps. I like the juggling of physical and magic damage debuffs and then the consumption of them using checkmate. It's an interesting combination of blackmage and arcanist mechanics that I think would work well.

    I would like to simply make the MP regen on Mage Masher a plain 60 potency regen though rather than basing it off damage. It'd be simpler to code and would still allow regen if the target is invulnerable (just a loss of dps, which is reason enough for a dps not to use it).

    Otherwise, great job and I hope to see more on how the Sharlyans story works out for this class.

    This class would become one of my mains, easily. I adore Spellsword types. Just did a quick skim, but I really fancy your setup, OP. Very nicely done.

    I had done it that way because when I was making skills I didn't have that many weapon skills at the time but I can see your point.
    I think I'll make it like LNC's Heavy Thrust then. ;-D

    Swanky. The potency for Wasp Sting should probably be raised, as it is now 60 + (18/3) * 10 = a total of 120 potency (that's how it works... right?), so it'd be a DPS loss using it versus a standard combo I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong. And the trait should raise the duration by a factor of 3 seconds as well in order to correspond with server ticks. But overall it's a cool idea.
