Although being that I was in the beta, I did get a message that said he beta period was coming to an end. I think it was about a year ago...

Since this is not a beta and refering to it offends you so much. What do you deem a sufficient quick way to describe the game we are playing, which is essentially a test build.

It's not a test build. It is, however, an old build.

The game was released a year ago. This is not a beta. This is the real thing. There is nothing 'beta' about this game.

I love how 90% of the people that say FFXIV is so awful and not worth paying for have put enough time in to it to take 1 or more jobs to level 50 and are still playing it a year later.

I've played some awful games in my time and they don't usually get a second look, never mind a hundred plus hours of play.

I couldn't be happier with what Yoshi has done and what he has planned for the future of this game. Heck, at this point I'm ready to buy a plane ticket to Japan, head over to SE's offices and give him a big wet sloppy kiss for saving this game!
