How many people (like me) havent bothered to cancel their accounts even though they dont log in much/ever since its been free for a while. Wonder if SE "thinks" they have more potential paying customers than they really do.

I'm sure they would rather have the paying customers they can get than no paying customers at all.

The fact you need activity to even post on these forums they can easily determine who does and doesn't play -- Their Vanadiel Census also proves they actually can tell the difference between "active" and "inactive" players. A lot of people didn't cancel SE accounts because they also play FFXI.

they have ways of tracking user usage im sure, and they probly dont even count you at all

it was half done before patch 1.19 which was a huge patch. then there was a bit more with 19a. and didn't they say there would be another patch before we pay?? if there is. this is going to make the game more than half done

anyway half a game is better than no game, and when its done we will be getting a bargin. till its done i want to see every new bit of content as we get it. also what you miss from now till 2.0. will be missed forever you won't be able to go back and do all the quests. so i will be paying for some truely unquie content

1) You people calling everyone trolls are illicitly trolling yourselves.
2) You trolls crying 'troll' are going to be sorely dissapointed when you realise that the majority the people who dissagree with you sometimes (or trolls as you call them, its all the same, right?) are here to stay. You think there will be reform on these forums? Fat chance.

Honestly have any of you 'cant wait for these trolls to be gone hurr durr' individuals ever been on the official FFXI forums?? Like.. they are not any better at all and everyone pays. So get your noses out of your belly buttons and keep snide remarks like that to yourself unless you are intentionally trying to antagonize the few who refuse to pay while you still can.

So basically what you are saying is that because there is no BG of FFXIV, the forums will be all rainbows and lollipops? How many poeple on these forums do you think are here not because they like the game (or want to), but because they don't have anything better to do than dissagree with people on ffxiv forums?

When you have groups of people who sit around specifically to mock people based on gear choices, or because they say "it's just a game", that's basically pure elitism. In terms of XIV, it's already known in-game versus forum community is quite different, so people who participate on the forums just to troll or just to go against people actually being positive about the game, are indeed trolls.

Even more so if they'll gladly pay just to spark arguments for no reason? That's trolling, merely disagreeing with someone or something isn't trolling.

Ill see where the game is at before i start to pay. I have'nt logged much since there seems to be no end game content to really do cept kill 50 ifrit. Love the game and want to support SE so i might pay just so i can jump on everynow and then.
