Pay to Play Subscription - Cast your votes!

Undecided, (impossible to determine), It depends on how much the game improves. As it stands, right now, I think FFXIV does not do enough to justify a subscription.

If the new graphical engine, the content revamp, and everything else works out as advertised, I probably would be happy to subscribe. If it works out like a de'ja'vu of the launch last year, then I will obviously not subscribe.

It's always hard to tell whether or not a subscription is worth it before you know what the product really offers, and in this case, we don't really know.

I'm not paying for it now. Besides the fact that I can't afford a sub atm, there are other MMO's out there that I would rather use my $15 a month on.

I'll come back when they implement new classes/jobs (archanist and RDM are what I'm looking forward to) or 2.0, whichever comes first. Because right now the game for me is a big ball of "meh" and I'm really only still around because it's free...

With alot of other games coming out that ALOT of people are looking forward too, I would think SE would keep it free until 2.0.. This game still needs huge amounts of work done to it to even be remotely worth subbing too.

If the 1.20 and 1.21 patch have all of the stuff they claim it will, then wait to charge until 1.21. They're doing the same with as before, rushing. They cant keep people and charge in nov/dec is the dumbest move they can do.

Now I understand they're pretty much out of money when it comes to this game but that's they're own fault for having no imagination when it comes to an online game. Get new talent.

Anyone willing to pay now instead of waiting until 1.21 is extremely simple minded and therefore are easily entertained by half assed games.. I think SE should turn this into a 3-bit game for them. You'd be better off taking that 10$ and get something more useful like making your G/f or wife somewhat happy so you can get BOOBIES later that night.. A blade of grass deserves 10$ compared to this dull, extremely generic game..

Wait until 1.21 then it looks like it'll be worth the 10 to 15 bucks a month.. Until then, boobies win my $10 for now.

I'll hold off until I see information on the pricing and payment system.

$15/month would be too much to pay for the game in its current state, but $8, or even $10 a month, I'd pay (if I didn't have to go through ClickAndBuy).

for 2.0 to spark my interest there needs to be at least 2 jobs per class.

At the very least they need to wait until the much lauded job system is implemented. As has been pointed out 1.20 is a very odd choice to say the least. They're risking a lot of the good faith they've worked so hard to earn, and that's the biggest shame.

I am going to pay no matter how much they are going to charge, but I am just wondering if they could not charge like 50% of the normal fee until 2.0. They will generate some income and people would stop rage quitting, it is a win win situation.

I will be there even if I have to pay 100% since I am enjoying the game and I am not going to miss the transition period to 2.0.

Yes!!! I want to experience the transformation I dont want to miss what will never be replayable ever!!!!! That alone is worth paying for its soooo time for this not to be free.

I recently returned. There appears to be enough content for a casual player and they seem to be heading in the right direction. Hell, a night at the movies costs way more than a monthly sub, I can easily see more than that amount of time a month in enjoyable gameplay. Alot of ranters seem to view that if you spend your life in game, it sucks if there isn't fresh content for them every hour of every day. Eve Online is the only game with that much end game content, anything else will cover for a reasonable amount of time.

My biggest concern is if my server ends up with a really low population...
