The interpretation of new graphics engine has me a bit concerned. I hope my happy new purchase will endure the world-altering future!

Have no problems with the subscription. Personally, I was ecstatic with 1.19. Logged in late on patch night, got so excited thinking about what to do next, that I just had to pass out. And I did.

/consolidates_inventory_across_three_characters_and_five_retainers_(not_even_six_iknowrite\?)

And I guess we'll need to compile a massload of questions for Yoshi-P on the next Live.

Q: Will we get a chance to alter our character's appearances and gender ~ exchanging our undergarments for the racial-gender equivalent.
Q: Will existing PC players be required to purchase a FFXIV 2.0 software package to continue playing?

Hi All,

There are things I like and dislike, but overall...

Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 looks totally AMAZING! (^_^)

The list is too long, but just the Concept Art and the screenshot of the new in-game Combat against Chimera (with Kain Highwind and Yuffie Kisaragi)... Odin! the Landmarks and amazing looking World Redesign!

I'm not totally happy about having every dungeon being instanced, but with all the other changes, it sounds like an amazing New World / Game that I'd want to be a part of.

And this one bullet point caught my eye:

Campaign of battles against the dragon horde in the defense of Ishgard, with participation possible as any of the four Disciplines.

This sounds like that promise from Beta a long time ago! So we could have a Carpenter and a Miner somehow helping against the defense of Ishgard while the Disciples of War and Magic are battling.

Fun times!

All the new concept art of the world evoke a feeling of Magic, Adventure and Excitement for me. Better than anything I've seen in Final Fantasy XIII or even XII IMHO.

I can't wait!

Well to the 2nd question they mention free download of the new client

few thoughts:

VERY" VERY excited about the upcoming changes.

No big deal to be charged for a game that has been given free to us anyways for a year now. Even though it's not a perfect game it has been very enjoyable.

Looks forward to seeing less trolls on these forums.

Also look forward to the server changes. hopefully this means no more lag.

I read through all posted PDF files and i wanna say...
DO WANT! I wanna be part of Final Fantasy XIV mark 2 and i'll be paying whole year till release.

The only dissapointing news is that it is a year away... but it's a good thing, it won't be released too early like XIV-1 was

Apparently they had a large influx of new players and players returning for 1.19, and saw it was time to drop this hook. Well played.
