That's probably because, in PvE, the lag is all yours. Only you can lag (well, I guess there's server lag, but that's an entirely different beast).

In PvP, there's double the lag potential: both you and your current opponent(s) at any given moment could lag, separately or at the same time. So, of course, you're bound to find lag "events" much more noticeable and common in PvP.

It's broke. It tried getting a job recently though. Nah lol, it's 50/5 mb line on a brand new computer atm. I also play on an older computer occasionally but I don't notice any difference.

Another possibility is that your Fetter Ward was removed, as other jobs can stripe off buffs.

No, the icon for fetter ward is still up on my status bar. If it's not a bug, fetter ward has been on in all cases. I'm pretty sure it's just lag, which the developers probably try and optimize anyway.
