An interesting discovery. Japanese players like us more than they used to.

I remember the old times of FFXI in which, on most Japanese message boards, every discussion about the worldwide servers of the game ended up with an overwhelming majority of Japanese players expressing their dislike about being "forced" to play with us westerners. There were exceptions, but the average opinion was most definitely negative.

At the moment there is an extensive thread on the Japanese forum on the same topic. I stopped in to read, expecting similar results to the ones I saw in the past, but I was surprised.

While there are still a lot of posts that express a preference for separate servers, it's not nearly as overwhelming as before. While I didn't poll sixteen pages of thread completely, I would dare say that the majority (while not overwhelming) is in favor of the idea of sharing the servers with us.

I found it refreshing, and decided to share to thin down a little of the negativity hovering around here

You may not care, but you should talk for yourself. Considered the fact that I have to play with them (and enjoy to), I tend to care about what they think about the possibility. I'm quite sure i'm not the only one.

The Japanese are more respectful to a persons right to be a person than Westerners. It is someones attitude and "Karma" that they produce that makes the Japanese hate or like us.

I never said they were. When I said The Japanese, I meant just that. Australians, English, Norwegians, Americans.

It seem the Japanese are more into Cross server then it was back in the days of FFXI. I knew a Japanese which dislike playing with Japanese he found them slow and boreding he hang out with me and my gf each day and we level together. But there a lot of Japanese who dislike playing with us and we copy/paste and see that they really don't like us in there party.

I think for the most parts the Japanese that understand ENG would invite to a party vs a Japanese who does not know ENG. It's nice to know that the Japanese is becoming more likely to invite us then before. This is a game and we should get along matter if we not from the same part of the world.

From my understanding, they don't like how westerners act. More so Americans. Americans can be very racist and were. They insulted the jp player base when they got a chance to. Like the NA laught at the jp's wanting other to ask b4 checking since their check message was a tad on the >.> "the fraq why you peeping at me". I never had an issue with the jp player base. I partied with them and try to respected how they were. They prob dislike when we use auto translation to say dirty stuff and I don't blame them.
