What in the game makes you happy?

The character designs and art style. I love the fact my character can look cute as hell and YOUNG. I don't have to suffer crappy - I wanna be old men/women- when making a toon, I can make her a teen that saves the planet. But seriously I love the art style and the models of this game. Always wanted to make a character in the normal anime like SE style and thanks to XIV I can and did

Character designs are a major draw for me, and i love having complete control over how your character can look, instead of games like 11 where once you made your character and whatever equipment you got, you were stuck with that same look, forever.

Battle system is also pretty smooth.

i am very glad that they did some basic restrictions on characters as well, so i don't have to worry about seeing lotita fetish characters everywhere.. (lalas get a pass, as they are an actual design) and other.. "questionable" slider characters.

Flying. The HW zones are beautiful, and I love flying around the Mists/ Forelands at night while gathering or doing beast tribe quests and listening to the music. It's incredibly relaxing.

Everything that makes me happy has something to it that bums me out.

I think the main things I love are the seasonal events, for instance this 2016 halloween event is just awesome and I love the shirt we get.

What bums me out is that past event items are cash only so any new characters must pay to get the old stuff. Just feels sleezy since I pay a subscription.

This is the one that still sticks in my craw.

Sub + Pay for every past event item ever (I know there are a few exceptions) is slimy.

Most everything else in the game makes me pretty happy though!

Making my character look cute, for one thing, using various clothing options I can apply even to end-game armors so long as I have the dough for prisms... buying fun new items, looking forward to having the gil to buy a new minion or mount (though there's like 2 mounts available on the Market Board), and of course, the burning desire to buy a bathtub for my FC private quarters. Also, literally everything about the music and art design is gorgeous and I love it.

Chatting with FC mates, decorating my room or apartment, roaming around just looking at stuff, clearing a quest that's been sitting for a while, clearing a cheevo that I was close on getting, generally keeping low stress.

Everything. This game is my happy place ;_;
Well, if I have to choose a feature, I'll say how alive the characters are when they interact with each other, being able to turn their heads towards other characters and even change their facial expressions. That's something no other game offers (outside a very modded Skyrim), so FFXIV is heaven for a screenshotter like myself.
