I know right? Stone III is basically a low power Fire I, and Holy is a flashier Fire II in cleric stance. Wow lately lots of bad healers coming out of woodworks here. I'd NEVER gear for INT. That's what I have BLM for.
For about an hour after I managed to become a Scholar, I thought I was being a smartass by gearing for full INT so that I could reverse Cleric Stance and heal more through that way, since my Scholar initially had more natural INT than MND at the level 30-40 range.
I then got the good sense to read the actual skill description more closely.
Okay, now it's enough. Come on now, we all go back under our bridges now, before some newbe will show up and get this in the wrong way.
there actually IS gear in the game with mnd AND int. but it's only ilvl 160. http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...m/4551a07ab65/
there is a full set you can get from pvp achievments. and because of ilvl sync you can use it in pvp and all the content below lvl 60.
why did they disable cleric in pvp... ^^?

Because SCH and WHM were very OP with it. A party of 3+ WHM could decimate an entire alliance with Holy spam.
If anyone were smart enough to invest in Purity, SCH, owned at one on one combat with a fairy healing though 80% of the damage.
i know why they removed it. 8 whms holy spam ftw xD but now we have this gear with INT which healer can wear. so okay, you lose the 10% dmg buff from cleric and all the substats like det and crit. but still: there is INT on the gear Oo
To be honest, INT gear is lost on healers outside of PVP and I have longed for INT equipment specifically for PVP.
Finally.. someone brought the PVP angle to light. See, INT WMH/SCH/ASTRO is the new meta for PVP.
...and your dmg would have been "through the roof" even more if you just went full MND and never switched out of Cleric Stance. No stance dancing either since you just stay in the same stance all the time...
Go offline if you are bored of the internet. Threads like these are why SE doesn't take the NA forum seriously.
