Ingame voice communication

Since this game is cross platform it would be awesome if we could get some way ingame to talk in a party/linkshell or even FC with people from ps3/4 and pc alike.
Don't know if this is asking for too much or not. but it sure would make some pug's work much better. (i find this aspect on ps4 amazing if u form a group on the psn-network) but since some friends and even strangers on the pc can't join there i think making such a system ingame would help alot.

While voice chat is certainly useful, the dev team stated during ARR's beta that they don't want to add this feature to the game, as they don't want players to be pressured/required to use it in PUGs. I seem to remember they also stated that they were also concerned that female players might be harassed.

Considering that many PFs now request you have Team Speak or another voice chat I think they're going to have to look at their stance again. It's even being demanded for Diadem. I can understand why EX trials & Savage Alex (& all Coils during 2.x) would need it but basically now in ANY non-4 man content it is expected that you use voice. If you can't install it on the PC you're told to install it on your phone.

It has become the new "git gud" - no voice means you're "deliberately detrimentally affecting the team". Whether you're able to use it physically is not taken into consideration by others. It has become a sad state of affairs that's putting me right off end content.

Hmmm, perhaps it is just a difference in servers then? On Sargatanas I'd say at most half the PF parties require voice chat, and I have yet to see anyone require it for Diadem (although I would not be surprised if I did, considering how chaotic that event is). Although I don't do Savage, so I don't look at those PF groups frequently.

There's several VOIP apps available for smartphones, and Discord is working on a PS4 app. Skype is also on PS4 several of my FC mates use it when we're not on our Teamspeak server.
