Error 1012 "A version update is required", but I already updated.

I have not been able to connect to the data center ever since I patched. I get Error 1012 "A version update is required. Press OK and launch the game again." Every single time. I've been trying to get in for the past hour. I have tried this method: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...are-no-updates and it did not work. I tried restarting (multiple times).

The only posts I have seen other that the one linked, say to completely reinstall everything, some say restarting worked, and some say they just waited it out. Can anyone help? I'd prefer not to have to completely reinstall the game. It worked fine until this hotfix update.

same here ! and i played like 3h ago after updating this morning

my launcher version says : 2015.11.05.0000.0001(1720252)

but once u are at the login screen : 2015.11.14.0000.0000 (1731055, ex1:2015.10.31.0000.0000)

looks like we arent alone :

relogged to see if there was another "patch" , and nop , working fine after fake installing

Lucky! The fake install didn't work for me, unfortunately. Also, that reddit post is mine Same wording and everything haha

Update: Completely reinstalling made the error go away. After failing to update many times :T
