if Yoshi just said the game was halfway to being an actual Final Fantasy, and the massive overhaul to the essentially new game of 2.0 is in April, why are they going to require subscriptions 5 months prior to that?

One thing the billing means, only people who play the game can post, just sayin
Being able to change the face/hair/sex is pretty cool, but it gives me a problem.
Do I change to a new gender more befitting of me, or keep my current one I've played with from the start.
Decisions decisions.
You didnt read? v2 isnt even till near end of 2012 lol it even says distribution in the timeline with ps3 beta a year from now.
Sorry but that the dumbest idea all going to happen is everyone going to go watch tv and be in town and looking for party in diff worlds it seem like we no longer going to party with our own world they should not release that.

I generally keep my posting to a minimum because... well, it doesn't matter because this is a monumental moment in FFXIV's history. I dare say this is the game we've been wanting since we first heard about FFXIV oh-so-long ago and the game we've been wishing we were playing for the last year.
I am absolutely blown away at what I've just seen.
Bravo Yoshi-P and the FFXIV team. You've shown us the game we've been clamoring for and I think I speak for the majority when I say we're damn excited. I really hope they stay on schedule and meet these lofty goals because fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice... well, don't fool me twice SE.
