    Question Has enmity with Gladiators and Marauders been looked at? I'm sure when Paladin is released it won't be that much of an issue, but many Gladiators are being passed up by default for Marauder tanks when Gladiators are supposed to the be the current tank of the game. What is currently being done to prevent the taking problems (Paladin enmity) issues that were present in Final Fantasy XI?

I will either go back to Final Fantasy XI or just quit all together! If I wanted to play Final Fantasy as a Summoner without my favorite summons I would go play Aion or Rift... This idea SUCKS!!! It wasn't bad enough that Summoner in XI was reduced to a buffing/healing job and not the power house it has always been in the series, now they are pulling that Final Fantasy XII bull crap and taking our favorites away from us all together... what the hell? I am mostly a SOLO player, I don't have time for all this Grand Company and Free Company stuff and when I play Summoner I want MY FAVORITE OLD SCHOOL Summons at my side or else I'm gone... =(

    Will you open up access to more retainers to the players before you start to charge the monthly fees?

    Will the monthly fees be reduced until the game is finished being debugged?

    Will the materia system be overhauled? (ie: changing risk value per added materia)

    Will there be a Mail system implemented?

    Will you make trading between characters more than 4 trades per? (uses same menu as crafting, why can't you make it 8 items per trade?)

    Last minute question post! Hope it's not too late.

    My first question is about the story currently in place. Will this carry over into 2.0 or will it be phased out entirely? I remember seeing in an interview that the characters would still be there, but I don't recall much else being said about it. Personally I didn't find the whole thing very engaging or cohesive so I'd welcome a revamping of it.

    As an extension of that question, what exactly will be removed when 2.0 releases? Will the Ifrit weapons become unattainable? Will the fights and dungeons like Darkhold still exist as they are or will they be fundamentally changed or even outright removed? What kind of current content should we not expect to see in a year's time, essentially.

    Last question. Are the cities being redesigned alongside the zones, or will they remain the way they are now?

    That's all I can think of for now and therefore all I can ask lol. Thanks for doing all this.

    How do you plan to make battle leves more exciting and less linear? Will we ever see ones like the opening cinema movie?

    Why does Darkhold seem like a race to bosses? Are the players missing anything?

    Will my Chocobo ever emote, jump ,dig or take a vow into knighthood?

    Dear Yoshi-P,

    In relation to zone jumps, you mentioned that they would allow players to skip boring or unnecessary sections of the map. You used climbing a mountain as an example, saying that characters might already be halfway up when they enter the zone.

    I support you in almost everything you do, but that comment worried me. I think that one of the best aspects of an MMO is its ability to make you feel like you really are in another world. You have the ability to set off on a journey to reach its far corners, and you can watch it change as you go.

    When characters skip over large sections of the world (such as happens when making the jump from Thanalan to the Black Shroud), it makes the world feel disjointed and fake. I like to feel as if I'm passing through the world, not skipping from section to section.

    In an MMO, the journey is half the fun. It's an exciting feeling to be at the base of a tall mountain looking up, and to begin climbing, pressing higher and higher, watching the scenery change as you do so. As a result, I would prefer that changing zones actually "jump" you as short a distance as possible.

    So here is my question: on average, how far will the zone jumps be "jumping" us? Will we be skipping large portions of the map? Will the scenery change to reflect the next zone as we approach a zone line?

    Sorry for the long question. Thank you, FFXIV dev team, for all your hard work. I think you're doing an amazing job, and I'm really looking forward to 2.0!

    Is there any chance of adding optional level caps to quests(based on optimal level)?

    Low-level content is usually unchallenging because I am too high level(and it is difficult be the exact right level). Additionally it discourages me to level up because I want experience the encounters without overpowering them(more so since they'll only be around temporarily).

    Basically, it is hard to be excited about upcoming quests(Jobs) because I want to do end-game stuff and level up, but also don't want lower level stuff to be too easy. (I play for quests.)

    Hi YoshiP is there a chance the spell animation will get revamp in Version 2.0? I'm playing The Gladiator right now and all the spells seems to look the same...

    and also will there be chocobo racing mini game? where you can raise your own chocobo and race or you can watch and bet for items like in Final fantasy 7. Thanks!
