Currently for certain raids and boss fights (such as Ifrit Hyper) there is a requirement or pressure for players to level other classes for abilities.
I personally do not like this as it (in my opinion) creates a form of elitism and disregard of players who do not have certain skills/cross class abilities. A good example of this is Sentinel: I don't have this ability as my Gladiator is rank 20, I do not enjoy the job and I do not really want to have to level it to 36 just to get it. I understand that having cross class abilities sometimes helps make a player stand out in fights, but I don't really agree that it should be one of the main deciding factors.
Q Does SE feel that forcing players to level a class they may not like or enjoy just for an ability to be used in a few instances is the way forward for the game (in regards to "endgame" battles)? Or, will future content steer away from this and allow players to rely on the skills and understanding of the class they opt to play in order to beat bosses?
Q In regards to the Strongholds- these can be a lot of fun, but I do not understand why most of the gear that comes from the coffers is in most cases easily beaten on stats by one of the new crafted gear items when melded with materia. Considering the drop rate on keys and then the % chance of actually getting one of the new pieces of gear out of the coffers, why has SE seemingly shot themselves in the foot over this?
Q Are there plans for future (positive) adjustments specifically in relation to the exp gained in Battlecraft Leves?
Partying is of course a better way to gain exp fast - as it should be - but times when I just want to solo a bit on a lower level class and use up leves seems pretty pointless when at ~rank 20 the end bonus reward is so low (1000-2000 exp).
Q When will players get a decent loot pool system in order to distribute exclusive gear and drops from dungeons/instances? No offense, but loot dropping to a random player straight into their inventory- really?!? ><
Q There are obviously big changes planned for crafting and in relation to this there are only going to be NQ or HQ gear/weapons/tools etc. Please can you be more specific and honest with players regarding what exactly is planned to happen to +1, +2 and +3 items- i.e. will all +1 and +2 be reduced down to NQ status and only +3 transferred to HQ after the implementation? Please tell me all of these items will not become "Dated" and we have to start again /cry.
Q Why are Option Menu selections not standardised? The amount of times I have clicked "No" to the question of "Do you wish to leave the landing area" from the airship......... Don't most players expect "Yes" to be at the top and "No" at the bottom for any pop up menu selection- or is that just me?!?![]()
