Currently for certain raids and boss fights (such as Ifrit Hyper) there is a requirement or pressure for players to level other classes for abilities.

I personally do not like this as it (in my opinion) creates a form of elitism and disregard of players who do not have certain skills/cross class abilities. A good example of this is Sentinel: I don't have this ability as my Gladiator is rank 20, I do not enjoy the job and I do not really want to have to level it to 36 just to get it. I understand that having cross class abilities sometimes helps make a player stand out in fights, but I don't really agree that it should be one of the main deciding factors.

Q Does SE feel that forcing players to level a class they may not like or enjoy just for an ability to be used in a few instances is the way forward for the game (in regards to "endgame" battles)? Or, will future content steer away from this and allow players to rely on the skills and understanding of the class they opt to play in order to beat bosses?

Q In regards to the Strongholds- these can be a lot of fun, but I do not understand why most of the gear that comes from the coffers is in most cases easily beaten on stats by one of the new crafted gear items when melded with materia. Considering the drop rate on keys and then the % chance of actually getting one of the new pieces of gear out of the coffers, why has SE seemingly shot themselves in the foot over this?

Q Are there plans for future (positive) adjustments specifically in relation to the exp gained in Battlecraft Leves?
Partying is of course a better way to gain exp fast - as it should be - but times when I just want to solo a bit on a lower level class and use up leves seems pretty pointless when at ~rank 20 the end bonus reward is so low (1000-2000 exp).

Q When will players get a decent loot pool system in order to distribute exclusive gear and drops from dungeons/instances? No offense, but loot dropping to a random player straight into their inventory- really?!? ><

Q There are obviously big changes planned for crafting and in relation to this there are only going to be NQ or HQ gear/weapons/tools etc. Please can you be more specific and honest with players regarding what exactly is planned to happen to +1, +2 and +3 items- i.e. will all +1 and +2 be reduced down to NQ status and only +3 transferred to HQ after the implementation? Please tell me all of these items will not become "Dated" and we have to start again /cry.

Q Why are Option Menu selections not standardised? The amount of times I have clicked "No" to the question of "Do you wish to leave the landing area" from the airship......... Don't most players expect "Yes" to be at the top and "No" at the bottom for any pop up menu selection- or is that just me?!?

Sorry if any of these have already been asked, but I don't have time to read every post.

    1) Can you tell us more about Samurai? Will they be limited to two handed katanas? Will they be good with a bow or not be able to use them at all because of the armory system? Will there be AWESOME Samurai armor for it?

    2) You mentioned the whole world will be able to see when someone summons a primal. Can you go more into detail? Will the sky be engulfed in flames when someone summons ifrit, and will one person be able to perform such an act, or will it take a group like the beastmen do?

    3) Will there be a system similiar to the merit system from FFXI for our R50 classes? If so, what will we be able to obtain/increase?

    4) How are we going to see the world change? Will it be a cutscene that everyone gets as soon as they download and launch V2.0? Could you give us at least a hint of how it will happen?

    5) With the new graphics engine, will the high-end PCs that alot of people invested A LOT of money into still be able to produce the same quality, mind-blowing graphics that the game currently has? For me, running around looking at how beautiful scenery could be was one of the best parts of the games. Will we still have all the little detail we have now, like seeing your hair sway back and forth when you walk?

    6) When will Bahamut appear again? Do you have any plans for him yet? He has always been one of the most awesome things about FF.

    7) Would you ever consider special battles against other FF characters, and maybe be able to obtain special weapons/armor they use in their game? For example, a friendly battle with squall, and being able to obtain the lionheart from this? Or maybe use it as a way to learn special abilities from previous FF characters. This would make people feel more connected with the FF world in my opinion, and would bring back some of the awesome things you used that you loved in other FF games.

    Dear Yoshi-P,

With new graphic engine in 2.0, I'm sure everyone will appreciate replacement of repetitive scenery, but what kind of impact new engine will have on Character models quality?

It says "The new graphics engine will cause certain objects to display differently than they do in the current version." One of best aspects in FFXIV it's our beautiful designed and detailed Characters, can You guaranty we won't lose that with 2.0 ?

    Dear Yoshi-P,

Will we see a revamp for the crafting system, similar to what we saw with the battle system? While I enjoy the premise of the current system, its randomness severely detracts from my enjoyment of the synthesis method.

    2 questions:

1.) when are we going to be getting a new UI (or ui tweaks) that makes the game easier for players?
2.) when will we be getting new classes?(ninja?!)

Ok, I'm finally fed up with it..

Can you please explain why you think it is a good idea to have Achievements locked to temporary events that only occur randomly every few days?

Dynamic events are cool, but it not fair to make these kind of achievements based purely on luck. At the very least, they should occur on a set schedule and the in game notification should at the Very least be a shout not a say.. in one town..

    1. Can crafting classes have "job"/specialisms (beyond guildmarks..). Please explain future vision for crafting classes. If they are not supposed to be on the same level as DoW or DoM class wise and simply hobbies then logically one could argue there is no need for them to have experience point requirements.

    2. At the moment, people only craft a) the easier/cheapest thing to grind on, b) craft for gil, c) craft for what they or close friends need. Probably 80% of recipies go untouched. What if the crafting grind was altered so, instead of experience points to level, you prepared quotos of each item (similar to leve quests). Once you met the quota for each item you levelled up and get your next "to do list/quoto list" from quest npcs. It would still be a grind of sorts, but psychologically it would not feel as bad as there would be lots of mini-goals per level rather than seeing "omg 100k xp tnl ". Perhaps even link levelling to the market wards, so you must vendor at least a certain number of items for a certain length of time (perhaps do this seperate to a retainer, or allow for more than 10 items to be sold at once)

    3. As we get our crafting classes higher, people get bored of converting all those low level items (e.g. bolls to yarn to cloth). Can we hire Automatons for a set series of synths? Perhaps limit Automaton use to recipes that no longer give you experience points and require gil payments to use Automaton services. If crafters could skip all those earlier steps and woke up with a stack of cloth, they would be one step closer to the finished product thereby enticing them to fill up the market wards with finished items. There are Automatons in some of the crafting guild rooms, so obviously this was planned at some point. And I am sure from another perspective, If you went shopping in the market wards full of items with plenty of each in stock it would help ease frustrations - it is fact that people have quit because the market wards were empty of relevant gear half the time, its improving but still not enough.

    4. Can you recycle some of your content with additional quests. For example, there have been no new quests associated with TotoRak Dungeon since it was introduced. If a new quest was introduced for each dungeon each update this would help keep old content alive.

As a quest addict, I love adding new things to my list... but sadly I missed all of "The Dreamer's Gospel" during the Hatchings-tide event, and real life circumstances forced me to miss Foundation Days. Is there any way that next year people who missed out can get their quest on and get their lodestone pictures?

In the last Letter form the Producer LIVE, it was mentioned that new character races such as Dragon and Demi-human might be added in addition to other changes regarding race, and it was also mentioned in the Version 2.0 Details that players could change their character race when the new graphics engine is implemented. Do you plan to include all new races before or in conjunction with the new graphics engine, or will I have to create a new character if you include a Dragon race after the new graphics engine is implemented?
