Questions and Feedback on the Future of FINAL FANTASY XIV

I thought that in one of the PDF's it said in order to be able to summon the primes we have to first defeat them? >.>

The lore involving primals states them as elemental gods that require multiple summoners to bring forth. The PDF states the summoning them will require an item earned from beating them, and a free company (meaning one person can't just speed dial Leviathan for the lolz). That there are lesser summons that can be brought forth by a lone summoner means the cast of summons can be expanded.

The FF series.has a larger summon cast than just ifrit odin and shiva. Besides, now those classics that are named primals are now cataclysmic monstrosities, not dime a dozen puppets that fold with a few whacks of a baddie's staff.

**Questions**

1. Seems the plan is to no longer have a seemless landscape and there will be a 'downloading data' like in FFXI. Will there be in place a system that catches missed LS/Party/System/Shout chat when moving between regions/areas?

2. Will there be a system in place to save macros or other such information (config settings) to the server? It would be nice to have for moving to new PC systems or between console/PC.

Not a question but I guess can be suggestion since they mentioned a bit about card game and if idea was good YoshiP will give a GO sign.

Card Game style -

1. Still up for the Triple Triad idea
2. Dragon Quest Monster Battle Road - Style card game.
3. FF version of Magic the gathering lol

If yoshiP needs reward idea... to give the GO sign
1. accessory that increases drops of cards from mobs, or while crafting/gathering.
2. accessory that increases the % of chance/better cards to show up on deck
3. Some fun gear to just show off you won... don't really care about stats just for looks
4. If housing / free company base is going to be introduced - ornaments to decorate the house/base

What role will classes have once jobs are released? Are they just a means to level up your jobs? They seem like they'll be irrelevant once jobs come out.

Will classes get artifact armor? We know that jobs will, but I'm hoping the DoL and DoH classes get the same thing. When I'm not doing battle related stuff I'm primarily a fisher. I hope that a quest sort of like Lu Shang Rod or Ebisu Rod from FF11 will be implemented, along with a full set of armor.

Questions:

1. Will there be any "Repeatble" - Exp Yielding Quests anytime soon?
2. Will "GM" support be looked into? (Since it seems fairly uselss & waste of your money right now)
3. Will we have option to change server when the billing start?
4. Housing usually means decorations and furnitures, is this something you will consider when implementing housing?
5. Will we ever see some "Puzzle" solving elements in the game?
6. Can we get some "Transform" into-a-monster costume some day? (Such as: Bat, Coblyn Marmot etc.)

Look, I hate using forums. Mostly because they are coded like manure, and slow, and never clean. I am old, I like to just play games, but because of the OUTRAGE that I feel right now towards a company that I believed in since I was a kid, I managed to convince myself to put up with forums.

I understand that FFXIV was a complete flop, I get that. I would not expect less of Square than to fix it ASAP as the Final Fantasy series is a multi BILLION(Trillion since inital release?) dollar market.

What I cannot believe is that they would expect people to pay for a game that wont be completed for OVER a year...! What kind of crack-smokin business suit thought that up??!? I betcha he/she has never touched a video game in their life except to sell it to the kid down the street.

I have played since the very first days of FF starting from the NES, when I begged and begged my parents for it and subsequent releases into the SNES and Playstation. I did extra chores, got straight A's, and was a model child most of the time, just so I could spend my money on a game.

And now I am betrayed by the very game and company that I have always believed in, they have gone the route of corporate greed as well. I was so excited as my own children are getting old enough to understand the final fantasy game concept and I was looking forward to possibly introducing them to it.

Although the askance to support a non finished game for almost a year is absolute madness and the person that suggested it initially should be required to wear a court jester hat and donkey ears at the office for the remainder of employment with Square Enix.

I am apalled and outraged that you would dare ask a community that has already been spurned once by a worthless game release to the tune of anywhere from 75-150 US dollars to further pay you any money until you deliever the finished and complete product.

I hope sincerely that this post reaches whoever it needs to in order to slap some sense back into Square Enix, and not just sit in the dark recesses of threaded forums(I can almost hear the small chuckle as the admin deletes it). I know that the "glory days" of Final Fantasy are long over, but quality and ethical business should NEVER, and I mean NEVER be put to rest.

I encourage all fellow Final Fantasy fans to join in agreement with this as we have put up with a heck of a lot in the past almost year. I treat the continued free trial as incentive from Square Enix that we didn't bang down the doors and scream for our money back for an unfinished, lack-luster game, and probably prevented many lawsuits from being filed.

If Square Enix is really that hard up for public relations, marketing, and overall customer satisfaction, hire me. (Sorry had to plug) I would take care of these things, because that is my line of work, and I am used to nothing less than impossible. Above all else, I REMEMBER THAT I WAS AN ORIGINAL FINAL FANTASY FAN FIRST, and I am just one of the multitude of them out there, and my first priority would be to take care of the gamers and long-term fans.

Even though I have always been loyal to your Final Fantasy Series, you won't charge me for a product/service that isn't finished, as I wouldn't let anyone else do it.

Don't give into greed. Do the right thing.

that would be much more tolerable, but it doesnt say it will take multiple summoners, just multiple people, so im assuming that a free company could summon ifrit if no one in the team is a summoner. thats what i have a big problem with. and also that they didnt mention what summoners will be able to summon so i dont know what they will even do then. they did mention carbuncle but honestly that was my least used avatar in FFXI

Because the otiginal one cannot be fought. It's a bit "too big" (saw some model scale screenshots...the original leviathan has something like 15 Astalicia lenght and like 2 astalicia height). It does is colossal. It might be something like the lenght od Limsa, from docks to La Noscea entrance.

Also, original one will be removed anyway with all the current lore so not a "problem" at all.
