Dragon's Dogma did have a nice character creator. >w>
HOWEVER, it wasn't an world-wide MMORPG that was constantly changing and expanding with hundreds of players on at a time, being transferred to instanced servers every time they entered a dungeon or house. :B
uhhhh..... wut?
Dragon's Dogma Online. And people are begging for it to come to the west.
The comment section of this video LMAO everyone speaks about f*pping to it
I suspect you'd make a wonderfully customized character Mr. Stoneface Bandit. Lets hope we can get more options to suit our liking in style X)
The customization in this game is much better than some games out there but much worst than others. It is in the middle. However, with all the new hairstyles, armors, dyes, and other combinations we have at our disposal it is hard to find your clone. I know people on my server by their signature looks even if I don't know them personally. It is quite easy to stand out.
Biggest issues for me:
-Fem roe eyebrows need some better options
-More facial Hair for men
-Body hair, men aren't naturally hairless.
- Real red hair. There is no "ariel" red in this game.
- Hyur male and females are WAY too generic looking, they need some new faces.
-All races should have more face options with more variety. Not all miqote should look innocent, not all roes should be tough, etc.
-Make all armor dyeable or at least give us the option to do quests to get dye-enabling items we can enhance gear with. It's hard to match 90 percent of the gear in this game as its all undyeable or requires a shit ton of gil/work to get it dyeable. GW2 did an amazing job with dyes, take note SE.
-More tattoos/make up styles. Seperate make up and tattoos. I shouldn't have to sacrifice having eye shadow on for a tattoo.
- More unique hairstyles. SE is pretty good with releasing them, I just find many (especially for males) are WAY too similiar.
As FFXIV is a multi-platform mmorpg from PS3 to Windows... an advanced character customization is unlikely to happen, unless the lesser hardware is removed from the cycle.
Most MMORPG's these days have amazing character customization features, but most MMORPG's are PC exclusives. Looking at Blade and Soul for example, a high quality MMO from S.Korea many years ago (now in closed beta NA), has an amazing character customization feature. Almost like similar to how SIMS characters are made. But as I said, this one is a PC exclusive. Doesn't matter how much data is created.
But with FFXIV, we have PS3/PS4/Windows/Mac... limitations are at every corner and data has to be cut to get around. Not hating on the PS3 (I own all Sony crap, even the Vita), but it simply is holding the entire game back.
If this was a PC exclusive...
I was talking aboot the console one =D. I cant read a lick of Japanese sadly so Dragons Dogma Online is beyond me at the moment.. WHY wont Crapcom bring that beauty to the West T_T?
