Moving FC from house to house.

Hey all - I couldn't find it on the forums or the patch notes. Does anyone know if the move option has been implemented yet? My small FC and I wish to upgrade to a medium sized house and we do not want to lose our airship progressions in doing so.

It isn't like we are in a position to just yet. We're saving up collectively and we're close to 25 million gil. We need to find out how much a plot is going to cost us first and then determine if we can relocate without losing our airship progressions.

(but hey... if you're on Hyperion and you're about to get rid of your medium lot, hit me up!)

The last I heard about a possible moving function was back in April, so I'm not certain its really part of their scope at the moment. Although, they did pull the housing team to work on Heavensward so that might have more to do about the delay than it being dropped. For the moment though, you'll have to destroy your house and everything attached to it and start from scratch in a new plot. I can only assume that means airships are lost as well since the workshop will be destroyed.

I tend to research (aka creep) housing on Hyperion quiet often because I have a flare for interior decorating and like to see what things people come up with. Most the houses around appear to still be actively occupied, so I'm not expecting a whole lot to go into the Great Christmas Demolition. The few that do will probably be bought up that day, so I highly advise saving up gil expecting max price. Medium houses will start at 37,500,000 for a first class plot and 30,000,000 for a fifth class plot. Don't forget you'll need some money on top of that to actually construct the house.

They talk more about this in the two most recent live letters (XXIV & XXV). Our FC is looking forward to it^^ Here's a copy and paste from one of them:

"I mentioned this before, but we’d first like to get rid of the houses that are no longer being used by players and we’re currently working towards freeing up land in this way. We’re planning to add this feature in Patch 3.1, so we’d like players to build their houses on the newly freed up land. As a next step, we’ll be making a feature that allows you to move locations, and we’re looking into either increasing the amount of land or creating a housing area in Ishgard around the same time this feature is ready."

pretty sure the entire purpose of the move option is to not lose airships and FC rooms.

i would not expect this till 3.2 at the earliest. if you relinquish your small FC house now, you will lose everything. i advise against it.
