Leveling up makes me want to quit.

You realize that it took older players months to get all those classes to level 50+, right?

In 1.0 level 50 could be done in a day (or two), especially with a level 50 warrior spamming attacks later on in the wolf camp.

That was later on in the game after a year or so; initially getting levelled was very hard though. The OP is right though in that levelling areas in the game now are quite empty and queues are getting longer especially for those lower dungeons. At any give time I've been able to count ~200-300 active players in the game using various searches. It's been going down with each patch as no one really is playing anymore on our server save for the lifers.

I'm already looking to transfer to a Japanese server.

I just started leveling a rogue/ninja on Jenova and most areas I have gone to have people leveling up alts or other jobs. People running fates, doing leves, etc. Also I run dungeons and the longest I have waited was 30 mins. While I wait I will do some fates, solo if necessary. I am also working on my Atma relic so I do that while I wait. I am currently 54 I think on my Ninja and it did not take that long.

Lack of fates to run sounds more like a server population issue, granted on Balmung there's always tons of them around and plenty people doing them. That, and the actual quests in the game do give a fair amount of EXP if you haven't done them all -- I saved the side quests for leveling up other classes, since the main story gave so much experience as it stood.

On tank and healing classes, I just run dungeons. Got a DRK to 41 within a day or two of that and I wasn't really grinding it, just running a few here and there.

I've been with XIV since Beta and don't have anything at 60, though I took a long break here and there. And yet, with leveling other things, I hardly touch leve quests unless I really want to hit the next level for whatever reason.

This is kinda screwed up. OP is pointing out an issue in the game. While he knows how to work around it, people are just being self righteous by telling him to change his attitude. Yea. Right. SE is perfect huh.

Yeah okay GG. So I am the idiot according to all of you here. Try to level up something new then I'll laugh at you. I dare you to try it. But since you all seem to think your system is perfect then I won't use forums any more to complain. I'll just quit and stop giving my money to Squeenix.

I am currently leveling my BLM and ARCH, my ARCH took 20 lvl in two days, my BLM 4 level in a day yesterday, I am not in a hurry and as you say and rightly so, queues in dungeons take forever, so I do something else meanwhile I wait for it to hit. I dont do fate at all unless I come accross them and even then if I cant do it alone as there isnt anybody around and that is true what you say, I dont do them. Levelling to 50 is just about the easiest thing to do, it doesnt require any effort whatsoever. I still have quests open allover, I have already 3 jobs up to 60, without effort or real effort. So yes something might well be wrong in how you go about. Just me though. I still have 60 leves, still my bestiary is not finished for their category. I play when nobody is around so maybe I had to adjuste faster then most? since i can stay hours without seeing as single living soul. A queue in a dungeon for me can go up to 3h and even then not guaranteed I can make it. Patience is a virtue, do some crafting/gathering unless you have already all maxed out ? Leveling from 50 to 60 goes relatively fast too as there are much more people doing dungeons between 50 to 60 then there is betweewn 15 to 50.

No, people are pointing out OP's stupidity because there ISN'T any difficulty in leveling classes. What issue, exactly? Is the issue the tons of roulettes and bonuses? The boosted exp in both fates and dungeons? No one here has said SE is perfect, so maybe try replying to an actual person instead of an imaginary strawman.

The only people who still do FATEs are those who afk bot in N. Thanalan. And levelling battle classes with Leves is the worst idea. JEFG > Queue for the highest level dungeon on the list. Do Low-level/guildhest roulette once a day. Do your hunting log, soloing any FATEs you run into on the way. FC buff + food help too.

Seriously if you think this is a grind, you should have tried levelling in XI pre-Abyssea.
