It's not like your average player just levels everything back to back to back. It'd certainly be quicker without any downtime, but I get bored just leveling and leveling and leveling. I tend to level a class to 60, take a break from it, gear that class, and do other stuff for awhile, then level another one when I feel like it again. Leveling was made even easier in the last patch.

I guess you didn't bother to look at my Lodestone info. I do plenty of leveling.

    Felmyst,

There are alot of things in game that you can do to get a job up by leveling One of the key things I saw not alot of people posting info on is the Beast Tribe quests. You are capped currently at 12 per day and if you are trying to lvling a alt job it is a viable option to do once your in que for a dungeon. I think the biggest concern you may have in regards to this issue are sometimes long que times. While in que one of the best options for you to do is to try crafting items while in que and also try doing fates in between. TBH, I will not tell you some random fact to attempt to troll you or make some disrespectful comment. I have already leveled up all my jobs to 60 which I just finished doing Bard my 9th Job. It is considerably time consuming.....but believe me its doable. Just try to have the patience to get to lvl 34 on the job and then the sky's the limit once your in CCH, once there set up a PF group and you will see how fast it will fill. Lastly, remember also that there are helms that you may get that also provide a boost to xp up to a certain level. I hope some or all this info help and I wish you all the luck. Keep your chin up and keep pushing to 60 and I promise you'll get there, maybe not as fast as would like but you will achieve it.

But in the last weeks it has been horrible, so that I am not out of leves and deal with ridiculous delay for roulette / duneon. And to be sure you are on the same line as I am. I speak of low level, not HW or post HW..

How is the situation on Diabolos per say? If it went all smooth for you maybe there are more new players? Because I start to think the issue is Balmung itself.
Yeah, low level tends to go a lot faster than HW does. Took me about as long to go 50-60 as it did to go 1-50. Dungeon queues do seem to be shorter after 50 as well though.

Things seem to be pretty good on Diabolos. 1-5 min queues as tank or healer if they aren't instant, 1-40 as dps depending on the time of day (for leveling roulettes). This past week it's been kind of odd...much longer queues than usual. Not sure if it's post patch or if something is up with the queues since this is the first major patch I've actually played at the start of.

Thank you for the kind words from the heart, which I am sure they are from. I know exactly what you are mentioning.

Well he did say that he started 5 months ago and has all of that - so I'm sure he's talking about low level and HW as well. Also it shouldn't just be your server that is the issue unless you are doing Party Finder and not Duty Finder, which I am guessing is not the case seeing you say you have long waits. DF actually pulls from the whole date center, not just your particular server. So it would have to be your whole data center (which is made up for 13 servers) that has an issue. Also I know they have been saying DF is bugged since 3.1-

On a thread that you can find here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...g-as-it-should

They did say that as far as they know its working but they are looking into it and seeing if they can find anything wrong:

While queue times have increased, we have seen no indication that the Duty Finder is experiencing any matching issues since the release of Patch 3.1. For the Void Ark specifically, we're seeing longer wait times for tanks and healers. As Void Ark offers iLv 200 gear, we assume that many players are queuing up to earn gear for their secondary roles which seems to often be tanks. For now, we would suggest forming a full party via Party Finder, or as an alliance, to help alleviate this for the time being.

Also, as mentioned in the Patch 3.1 notes, currently there is a known issue with the Duty Finder display where each of the roles are showing up as 0. Please note that this is only a display error, and the matching process is functioning correctly. The dev. team is currently investigating this issue.

We'll continue to monitor the situation and if we spot any issues or irregularities, we'll be sure to follow up.
Only other thing I can think of doing is posting in the bugs area that there are still issues going on, you feel. Other than that - hold out and see if it gets fixed or I guess you can do what you feel you need to do and if it's no longer worth your money you can stop playing. Whatever you decide, do whats best for you.

Actually selecting the language betters alot. I am from Masamune and if you don't have the japanese language selected too you, instead of 5~10 minutes you wait for about an hour or more. Leveling in this game isn't too hard to be frank (it used tobe harder on the launch of 2.0), I don't think there it is mandatory to level everything to 50/60 either. I recently came back 2months ago, I started with only a dragoon at 30, and now I have a few classes at a decent level. I am playing with a language barrier, as I don't speak japanese and masamune is a mostly japanese populated server. I only play 2~3hrs a day due to work but I do my research and full invest my playing time into beneficial things.

So.. just my two cents worth, joining a FC might be good, using your leve quest for your crafts (12hrs = 3 leves iirc) which will be very useful, submitting your provisionary mission for your DOH & DOL.

W-what? Between challenge logs, leves, FATEs, daily roulettes, hunt bills, beast tribe quests and I'm sure I'm missing something else here... how is it even remotely difficult to level up in this game? They practically pave the way for you to hit max level in a matter of days/weeks. There are so many ways to get your levels up these days, its unreal.

You can always level your other classes when the content is somewhat dead, but I think priority right now is to cap your Eso, Void Arc(which is a somewhat good way to gear up) which gives a upgrade for your eso gear from i200-i210 and a Void arc gear at i200. Leveling can come much later.

Since your Ninja is at 60, you already have most of the mandatory skills, except B4B which is at 34 and that your dragoon is at 30. Anyways hope this helps.

I have played other games especially F2P Games where they literally hand things out to you as long as you pay, I am not biase but personally I think FF is great. You have developers that don't nerf/buff classes just to get players to change class and spend thousands of dollars on the new hype. So yeah try not to quit, but if it doesn't work for you no one can really stop you. Either way good luck.
