Yeah, but no, I do not agree with this. The current method is bad and as an older player if it took you months with all the constant fate runs around, then you are just bad. Not my first character here.
it took me months as an legacy player and im not bad nither is others some of us have jobs and family some of us dont live with momy and dont have to work
I like to lvl in dungeons/trials only.
On DPS in the middle of the weekday (which is right now 1:45PM on a Tuesday) I have a 6min queue for lvling roulette on my under 50 MCH.
It's so incredible that you say its a 2 hour wait... I am having trouble believing it ^^;;;
Have you tried logging out and back in and trying it? Are you selecting all Languages? Is it possible to take a screenshot showing your queue preferences and wait times so it can be determined if there is a problem like a bug?

I have hard time to believe selecting all languages can affect this. But that is a constructive point being brought. And something that I have not thought about, too. I will try this but I am done playing for now anyway. Will try next time, probably after maintenance.I like to lvl in dungeons/trials only.

thought you said you were quitting and unsubbing
That is you. But the majority of player base, myself include. Like the variety of the game. The exploration is offered enough through general questing and jobs quests, which are very engaging with cut scenes and story lines.Even with the "fast" leveling in this game, I find it boring as all hell. I don't understand why current MMOs stick to the archaic method of leveling, which is nothing but a grind. It would be significantly better had they adapted the singleplayer way where you level naturally as you explore the world, while doing engaging quests but alas, that's not going to happen.
But instead of complaining about leveling, I just didn't level anything past my first Job. FFXIV takes enough of my time as is, to maintain more than one Job? I'll pass.
What I demand is reasonable delays to obtain a duty spot to pop.
I still got paid time. So I'll do whatever I want with it.

Actually selecting the language betters alot. I am from Masamune and if you don't have the japanese language selected too you, instead of 5~10 minutes you wait for about an hour or more. Leveling in this game isn't too hard to be frank (it used tobe harder on the launch of 2.0), I don't think there it is mandatory to level everything to 50/60 either. I recently came back 2months ago, I started with only a dragoon at 30, and now I have a few classes at a decent level. I am playing with a language barrier, as I don't speak japanese and masamune is a mostly japanese populated server. I only play 2~3hrs a day due to work but I do my research and full invest my playing time into beneficial things.
So.. just my two cents worth, joining a FC might be good, using your leve quest for your crafts (12hrs = 3 leves iirc) which will be very useful, submitting your provisionary mission for your DOH & DOL.
You are just plain wrong here. Absolutely catagorically wrong. Levelling when ARR first came out was significantly slower, with no roulettes and no weekly challenges for bonus Exp. It took a long time to level classes.
The only issue here is your mindset. I recently levelled an alt to 60 from scratch and it took less than 2 weeks with all cross classes obtained again. So to turn it round on you, if its taking you so long, you are doing something wrong.
Or perhaps most players aren't looking to rapid level? For someone so eager to declare other players bad, they're not the ones struggling to level now are they? I had no issues grinding monk up via the MSQ and dungeons. I leveled dragoon from 35 to 50 in a single day grinding out fates in Coerthas and Northern Thanalan. Frankly, you sound like you aren't willing to put the effort in and want leveling gifted to you. Too bad.
