Leveling up makes me want to quit.

There's nothing to fix. Those who had everything 50+, had the time from 1.0 - 2.0 and so on. Most were already 50 from 1.0. It is your choice to want to get them all to 50 instantly, but you'll realize unless you have that much time on your hands you won't be able to pimp out each job. If your goal is not to pimp them out then don't worry, you'll get there just like the rest of us.

Are every single one of them in full esoterics and red scripts gear? That's what the "pimp out" is referring to.

You can get all the jobs to 60 with enough time and patience, but tricking them all out fully is impossible.

Not necessarily impossible, depending on how far in the expansion we are. I came into Heavensward in full Demon gear on ALL classes, and with the changes to Poetics in the final months of ARR I think it was ... if not realistic, then at least close to possible to deck everyone in Upgraded Ironworks.

As for getting everything to 50+. you don't need to. you need to do what is fun. In turn find out what job you like. Level it's alt abaility jobs and get it to 60. And enjoy. And don't Stress about getting everything to cap. It's not about that.

You don't need everything to 60 in a day. Take your time and when you're out of dailies, weeklies, leaves or whatever, do something else. It's a big game.

Hi guys, as a friend of the OP I just kinda want to clarify some things. Op is a character who had a highly leveled well successful character since 1.0. She made a great deal of gil in 1.0 as well and was always trying to help people out. She helped fund many houses for free companies when housing came out but there started a small flaw known in the community to stop and detain anyone who might be considered for RMT like activity. She was one of the few who got targeted by SE for suspicious activity, likely due to her generous nature. Now yes, I know when we hear this we think a lot of the people it effected were indeed doing bad things but this is someone many on our server knew made her gil in 1.0, invested it right in ARR and was just unlucky to get tagged for being suspicious. It has happened to people in the past who weren't actually doing anything wrong. Now normally I don't share stories like these but I feel shes gotten a lot of negativity and though some deserved from responses triggering a defensive level that can be deemed a bit.. misunderstood because so many unsavory people come to these forums to complain and troll and it can have a defensive effect on those of us who love and play this game.

Avira after helping many people fund houses on balmung, one being a Roleplay hotel that became successful, one being my own small FC, another being that of a small group of friends twice over after originally picking a spot on the beach that lead to being trolled by a more wildly known to pick on people because they wanted their plot. The harassment got bad enough that she eventually had them destroy their house and move to my neighborhood in LB to avoid the group and enjoy the game without the stress it was causing them(Luckily my ward and area was full of some really wonderful FC's who welcomed both of our fc's with wide open arms and made the zone a lovely place to be). A very selfless woman. At one point a bout a year ago she had some rl problems that aren't mine to share. however given the circumstances she had to quit for a while to put rl first. It was a very hard time for her. When she eventually was in a stable position to come back, she found her account gone. unable to log on and no answers from SE. Now I love FFXIV and FFXI. ive been playing the two since 2003. In that time ive heard many similar situations like this happen to people who deserved it, but also some who might have just got caught in the line of fire.

This made things really hard for her because she went from being a very generous nice person to having rl kick her butt to come back to the game in which she had such fond memories of both players and the game itself all just gone. It was a hard pill to chew after all that had gone on for the year. She held her head high and has tried to start over. for some who've had similar situations, there able to do this, for others the loss is a great burden that makes them give up on trying after a while. Shes been trying, but part of the problem is missing her highly decked out tank. The character she held nostalgia for over the last 5 years, The loss of a incredible ammount of saved up and worked on gil to try to gain back and a feeling of so much work just gone. This is a hard pill for many to swallow and not everyone can. If she comes across bitter because trying to get back to where she was has been a difficult road please understand it's not due to the type of complaints and a level of entitlement some suffer its because she hurts. it's been a hard road trying to get back. Now that doesn't justify a reason to be quite as defensive, but part of it is also the level of bitter response. Basically People are becoming on the defense of her complaints(not that disagreement isn't allowed but it has been a bit harsh) and its causing a simular responcse when all she wanted was to explain the system comes off hard to level in currently.

Yes, Some can level quickly, but there is a good amount of people who struggle with it too. It does get harder with so few doing fates, a issue se had noticed thus adding relic rewards to participate in lower level fates though now so few do again. Since HW release Roulette timers had been buggy and long, and this is the time in which shes struggling to level. With long ques, low fate participation and trying to find more people currently leveling to level with, it's been difficult. Perhaps it's not for all but it is a concern I do hear often too. What Avira needs is to meet people also trying to level lower levels because she comes from a small FC that she feels too strong bonds to over the years to leave, but its a very nice group but small and inactive. If you know of Balmung groups trying to level lower jobs or perhaps a LS for such things, this is what she needs. Im sorry for the long post, I just had hoped to bring to light how such a situation could come across to make someone who very much doesn't wish to quit, but is lonely, and unsure of how to start over again has ended up coming here to say that she has a hard time being a newer player trying to level anymore. Though not all her responses have come across as the best way to try to make the point shes attempting to make, many responses to her complaint on the current leveling system haven't been terribly friendly either.
