Magitek Hoover board

Now there's an idea for a new mount. Yeah I am a huge BTTF (Back To The Future) fan. But I still think this would be a really awesome mount for both ground and flying.

I mean, we got magitek armor that flies now. Why not a hoverboard?

I think you may mean "hoverboard". A Hoover is a brand name vacuum cleaner. The only problem I can see is if somehow Zemeckis or Universal have the copyright to hoverboards, which wouldn't surprise me as they copyright a lot of the ideas & images used in movies.

I support the idea, I always prefer mechanical/magical mounts, since I feel bad for overworking poor animals. I don't think even the black chocobo enjoys flying against snowstorms for hours. Hover/flying boards are great

However, I'd rather have a convertible vehicle that can let me feel the wind on my face or shield me from the elements if I wish.

So exactly like the magitek armor without the annoying clunk clunk clunk? hmm... I could be in favour. The problem I see with hoverboards is making the character look like he balancing and reacting to the movements, which is hard with current movement and flying being very unreactive and kinda clunky

I want a hovercycle. That would go better in a different game setting though. Even for Magitech I think a flying motorcycle would be kinda pushing it since FF14 is more high Fantasy and a hovercycle would be pushing cyber punk.
