Keep an eye on the Lodestone on October 14 at 5:00 p.m. (JST). We’re going to be making a progress report of what we’ve accomplished so far, and release some files detailing our future plans for the game so that you, the best fans in the world, can continue playing FFXIV with a sense of comfort and pride.

This is the kind of stuff I am hoping is what is needed to give a direction to the game, and I'm glad he's focusing on that.

IMO this is the best letter he has done so far, since it is focusing on a longer term vision rather than just a few month forecast.

I'm glad you're having a great time, and I'm personally having a bit of a better time, but I do believe people will burn out on this patch quicker than 1.18. There is still work to do.

The most exciting thing about this patch is obviously the crafting overhaul and how it has revitalized people to go out, get new stuff, and then work with the materia system to delete old stuff.

The power leveling run also really hyped interest in the patch.
