The problem with those two dungeons, and it was a poor design decision that square enix has since never repeated, is that the cutscenes are too long and too many.

While I respect your position to want to play the dungeon the way you want to play it, you also have to understand that if you are the only new player running it with seven people doing roulette, you need to be a bit more considerate of other people's time (rather than, as you put it, "politely" telling them to "shove it"). You realise you are playing with actual people that may have things to do, don't you? These people running the roulette, and doing repeat runs after clearing it, are the only reason your que doesn't take hours.

When I ran these dungeons the first time, like many it was my first exposure to the level 50 crowd, and I wasn't prepared for the cutscene skipping and "impatience", etc. But then I really looked at what these cutscenes were and what was involved, and made the decision to go with the group and watch the cutscenes later. Which was fine. You are playing with a group and the polite thing to do is go with the group instead of chucking a defiant tantrum. If you want to run and watch all cutscenes, make a pf. Expecting seven people to devote an extra half hour of their time so you can watch the can defiantly watch the cutscenes then and there... there's nothing really right about that. If the group agrees to do it for you, good on them, and you should be super grateful rather than stating that that is how it should be. If they don't, show a bit more respect.

You'll note that I wasn't the only one new, which I said in my original post, I was a healer, and the other new person was the other healer. The cutscene we got yelled at for was after the first boss. They hadn't even gotten the incedinaries for the pipes yet, which with people decked out in raid HW gear (which makes their gear sync to the top levels), should not have a problem without a healer.

We're still talking TRASH mobs here. I soloed my way at WHM51 to the first boss before I tried duty finder. You have way more power than needed with four DPS, probably even for bosses.

So they sat at like the second trash pull and started whining because we were watching. I don't have my chat on during CS anyways. I mentioned that, knowing it would be mostly roulette, I figured people would just keep plowing through. That's how most of my runs of that go. As I was focused on the story, I told them I wouldn't be skipping and explained my reasons.

I told them to just keep going, but they DEMANDED a healer. They proceeded to try to insult me and what I was doing. I won't quote the ugly words. It was then that I told them to shove it. They had already put out the vote kick by then, evidenced by their "bye-bye"s and the like.

I understand the feelings that "they're volunteering to help you when they choose it," but one, it's not volunteer, they're clearly there for their daily tokens, and two, they should know the inherent risks of entering.

Their time is not the center of the universe, nor is mine. I have my reasons for entering, and they have theirs. There was no reason they needed to clash, but they made it so.

Also, I tried party finder before that. It didn't work.
