PvP hub world with areas lurking with monsters that have PvP related loot drops. Yes, another Open-PvP Area idea, with flight accessible.
Too hectic and probably unfitting as most would say, just as fitting as 72 characters fighting one monster to death
I cant even see wtf is going on!!! Not to mention how braindead most of the exploratory groups are just going to the exact same spot after getting their aether currents and fighting mobs like no tomorrow just for loot like a bunch of zombies. Well that's a blast. Its like if Hidalynn (or w/e her name is) placed a monster in front of us and everyone just started wailing on it like a bunch of bloodthirsty savages, because that's what it seems like every Exploratory mission.
exploratory PvP groups would be an amazing idea, Island capturing could be a thing, where seizing one could earn you points and such, maybe even building forts idk. Matches could last an eternity as one group earns a fort by fighting for the area, then their times up (they receive the points for having one in the first place after leaving), so another group claims the area and more fights are being dished out. Yes monsters will be their too but not as buff as they are now, with the occasional B.A.M. that could appear at certain times at night that may wreck your stuff if not taken down.
Safe zones could be the shopping areas for your accumulated points, selling PvP gear and maybe some PvE items, hopefully stuff for housing or cosmetics. Perhaps some defenses for your fort and stuff like cannons and mana pooled areas for quicker mana regen and stuff.
Oh right the lore....unclaimed lands with allagan traces of information. GCs fight for it waging a "friendly" war (that lasts forever). Puuurrrrrfect. like it matters anyway >_>
Quick note:
Open PvP wouldn't work in this game = anything can work, its if your willing to accept it, not like you have to participate do you?
It'll encourage all the bad part of the community to act like aholes = like they've been doing since forever? If this is added they'd probably all move into PvP and get wrecked so PvE only people can have more breathing space, quit whining
Ganking will not fit in this game, even yoshi said it = Well you signed up for it when you entered the PvP exploratory mission now didn't you? Stay out if your worried about it.
Generic Posts:
Average Joe: Sorry not happening Open World PVP yoshi and tanaka both said no to this question. So don't even think about it goodbye end of story.
My answer: Hunts don't work either, just turns people into animals. Exploratory missions are even more so feeding drops like barbarians. Enter the PvP mission at your own risk, goodbye, stay out.
Average Jane: Lets be honest, openworld pvp never worked. The very idea is defect and only pleasing for small minority of grie...pvp players. Majority of players gets pi...iritated by that and it is the majority what makes SE real money.
My answer: Umm, I play both PvE and PvP. Maybe you don't know but most PvPers actually play PvP modes because their bored of PvE content grinds all the time. If you want to wail on monsters with your same 8 buddies for hours on end talking about Aymerics buttcheeks then go ahead. And if you get irritated by losing in any mode then you haven't played this game that long, all you do is lose, learn, and fight to no avail till you win. I'd rather test myself against un-predictable odds in PvP instead of the same monsters thnx . Oh, and I still pay my subscription and cosmetics, SE still getting my cash aren't they? -_-
Some other guy: The level of animosity and prejudice by "most" FFXIV players is so great it reflects the fright and negativity towards pvp in this MMO. I understand bad pvp experiences in other MMOs may have influenced these players to generalize all pvp as negative and rotten. But lets not fail to acknowledge pvp has been fun and fair in some MMOs, as a whole or fractional, such as pvp instances.
My Answer: .....that....actually makes sense. This guys a genius...you should all learn from that guy >:/
So anyway what do you think of the idea
