Need Help

So me and my FC went to do Diadem last night. The first run was fantastic. I went in as my PLD and I got 2 pieces of 210 gear. Got other stuff too to trade for spoils. Could not ask for a perfect run. Played next to several groups and got tons of stuff.
Here is where it went bad. Our second run was the worst. So we unlocked flying, something we should have done the first time, found a grind spot and got to it. Well, after defeating 6, yes 6 STAR monsters, our group got no loot. NONE. For 70 minutes we got absolutely NOTHING.

Some said it was our DPS, it was not, and others said it was because 2 groups, or 3, whatever, had created an alliance and the reason were not getting loot is because of that. I do not know if it is true or not. I can't find something that say's it is or is not the case. So after getting really pissed, we broke off and went on our own. Got crap gear. Times up. I also hear that HEALERS need to hit at least once to get credit. Again, I have no clue how true or false this is.
Does anybody know? Can anybody help?

I, main heal, and sometimes I don't hit at all the boss. So it's not healer fault.
The main reason is that the dps of your group was too low compare to other group.

Good dps ? You are hitting the boss first ? You don't wait the boss to be under 60% hp ? Gold treasure is for you.

Were there for all of it and we get first hit if not second lol. Our dps consisted of MNK, 2 DRG's, BRD, and NIN.

the healer thing, and I can tell it stung you, was something someone from another group told us. Don't blame me.

I really think it was this Alliance thing. I mean we hit the star at 100% or worst case scenerio 98%.

He asked if you got first hit because then you would have gotten a chest for sure (red mob instead of purple mob),
My fc had the same Problem at the first time running Diadem but it seems to have gotten better since them we are not sure what exactly the criterias for a chest drop are. I saume it is a mix out of dmg done and rng, as sometimes we get a chest after doing almost nothing and sometimes we are there for the entire fight and get nothing.
