Harassment of DoL in Diadem via DF

I've been doing a reasonable amount of Diadem since patch, been to both hm and normal. I've always gone through my FC, PF or LS's for farming because of the dps you need to get chests, makes sense.

Today I went into Diadem normal via DF with a friend to gather. I, my friend and 2 others mentioned we'd like to gather and it was a horrible experience from then on. We even stated we would pass on all loot (which we did).

We were cursed at, called trolls and even defamed in /shout. It's not easy to make a full Diadem party for gathering and the DF seemed like the most inclusive place. It seems that this is a common occurrence and I'd like to make it known that this behavior is ongoing.

If you go into the Diadem via DF you're opening yourself up to every method of play, don't be selfish and ruin other people's time because you don't like the way they're playing.

And if anyone in that DF party happens to read this, if you had had some human decency I would have joined to farm, I'm not going to fish for 90 minutes.

I enjoy gathering so I'm with you on that. You also realize that if they are farming on dino island they will not have enough dps to get credit for gold chests from rank 5s or stars? So it is frustrating when someone kicks out up front as it is a loss until the 2 hour timer runs down.

My compromise is if the group runs down and people leave then I switch to miner/botanists. Or I wait until last ten minutes on the timer. Thats the acceptable answer when using the DF.

You could also try to put up a linkshell for like minded gathers to get these groups together. Put a shout out at the popular hang out spots (like the adamantine hill). Try to put one together through that.

I played today and the whole df party all decided to gather together, It was a pretty cool run.

Ten minutes is hardly time to gather anything...
Not to mention I really don't like "dino island" and that sounds just about as boring as fishing for 90 minutes.

Of course I always pass on loot I don't help earn and if someone calls out they need help with a mark, etc. I usually pick up and help them out. No reason not to.

I just don't pay any attention to it.
When I go to diadem thru DF I'm going to do gathering for 90 mins. But at the same time I will help my party doing V and Stars.
When I got with my own FC or an organised group I go in to farm gear because I have a chance , a BETTER chance to get the gear that I need. Whereas DF is a free for all.

When there is not that much time or not enough fighter, i switch to gathering and complète the diadem

I just go in as 2 or 3 people with the fc. A couple sac pulls (or be stealthy) to get the currents to fly and then full freedom to gather. Duty finder is terrible. Save yourself the hassle

Actually, I like healing that as a WHM. It only gets frustrating when the DPS isn't bringing it, and I have to spend 90% of my time in Cleric Stance so the group does enough DPS to get a chest from the top-tier NMs. That happened to me last night.

Only issue I have found with this situation is when you're left without enough of a party to get chests. Generally I do gathering in easy on df and chests on normal. FC i sis always determined prior

I agree that in df people can do whatever, but I find this is a development flaw. Parties should be able to invite people and you should be able to drop from a party once inside. No kicks though.

You should create/join a gathering party in PF or your FC for diadem. It's frustrating when you're in there to get loot, but no chests drop because your dps isn't high enough cause you have 2-3 ppl gathering. Gathering is and always has been a solo thing. It doesn't matter what anyone else in this game does, it does not effect your ability to gather til your little heart's content. Ppl out dpsing the mobs doesn''t effect you at all. However, you choosing to not participate in the party you joined, greatly effects their ability to do what they came for. You joined a PARTY! Multiple ppl, and you want to be so selfish that you joined to gather and now no one in your group is gonna have a good time because they are locked out of getting loot for the next two hours. You need to create a party where you can establish beforehand the purpose and goals of the run. Then everyone can go there separate ways and gather as much as they want. Don't join a party if you're not going to participate.
