Harassment of DoL in Diadem via DF

I usually help kill stuff for an hour and then gather the last 30 minutes. If there's a V or a star in those 30 mins, I'll come help. I won't roll on loot during the time I'm gathering. Seems like a pretty easy compromise.

You know, I don't mind if the gatherers come help for star ranks, and not roll on loot that was acquired through battle while they were gathering, I really don't mind....
But I had time and time again, gatherers that don't help, AND roll on the 210 gear THEY CAN'T EVEN USE. The last fisher, mocked our group about not being able to do enough dps and then when we did, he grabbed the loot he couldn't even use

I would like to say the minority makes the majority look bad, but it's the majority making the minority look bad here. Please I beg of you, make gathering parties... (That being said, me and my brother do PFs now, but we have to go DF during the quiet time on our server (we're from New Zealand so our time-zones are weird))

...I can't wait for the prices of fish and materia to crash... To remove the fishers incentive.... ...And I feel bad for wishing that it would happen...

Since the cooldowns reset why not let them know you'll change to DPS when a V or Star pops? I usually do this and rarely have any issues with my DF pts. Although its 100x easier to go in PF pts or with the FC.

SE dropped the ball so hard here. I am almost certain they designed this content for FCs and then realized the implications of lock out FCs w/o a house and/or people not in a FC and were like 'oh better add this to the DF and PF

I love this game but some of the decisions SE makes are mind boggling (don't even get me started on TT and LoM tournaments).

This isn't fully SE fault. Only 1/3 if not half because people complained about FC restriction when you could just go with a friends FC there are a bunch of small FCs that you could join for this if they don't have a house. But nooooo that means we need to communicate with people. We desperately needed content that's meant to be done with people on your own server. Because duty finder can be awful some times and this proves it.

This is why we can't have nice things people complain.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing but if you are going to releases something on DF you need to make sure it makes sense. Right now it doesn't.

True they didn't think when they added it to duty finder. This is mainly a problem of them making content every one can participate in no matter their skill level ( insert bad Alexander normal joke here ). Pretty much its in the duty finder I think for the people who can't join a PF because of reasons. Sadly this means pretty much all good content suffers.

This is pretty much me when I join, only I only use PF so when I head off to explore I let everyone know I'll head in for a high rank or if they need back up then I'll pass on anything I didn't help with.

This is pretty much where the division of "gatherers" stand. A handful are fine and understand the situation they're in. Most however, are the sort of "mine mine mine mine mine" when it comes to loot/items and so on. If the gatherer is a miner, then that works for both meanings. Those folks are no better than the AFKers that they're almost guaranteed to be grouped with.
