This is just lazy low cost development and nothing more. Cheap excuses won't apply. They could add voice to out character but nope. They could make few fight CS which will change depending on your current class but nope this takes time. Our character could use a "generic" "eather energy" weapon which will be the same no matter the class or make them only 2 depending on magic or physical class. Nope. Our character could use something else to fight but nope. This is the effects of poor and low cost development. And it's breaking my nerves already. Our character has no voice and nods like a complete idiot and he is just the errand guy for everyone who wishes to use him. The Bluetooth Cult (Scions) are here to fight instead of us. And a half blind half skilled Thancred saved us from the WoD. Our character just sits down like a dodo and watches with cow eyes the scenery. There is no need to increase the budget too much or pull another 1.0 but this is so cheap it already makes me sick.
At the same time, Thancred saved the Warrior of Darkness from us =3
Our characters already have voices, but adding dialogue for our characters to utter during cutscenes runs the risk of further offending the playerbase. "My character wouldn't say that! How dare he/she voice my character that way!"
Thankfully the people using us for errands are rewarding us for it.
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road
Like we saved Nanamo for example? Yeah sure because sitting on ground and waiting Y'shtola to protect us makes us really bad arse and dangerous I'm pretty sure the WoD's trembled of fear. This is just a terrible poor development full of cheap tricks and excuses. In this part SE has a lot of work to do it seems. At the same time, Thancred saved the Warrior of Darkness from us =3

No weapon. Couldn't. And being equal to or stronger than your enemies doesn't always have to mean they tremble in fear before you. Enemies often underestimate each other; I'm of the mindset that the Warrior of Light and Warrior of Darkness are equals. To me, they're the Yin and Yang, the Sun and the Moon, the Light and the Darkness.Like we saved Nanamo for example? What's even more ridiculous, I think, was Aymeric getting stabbed by a peasant with a kitchen knife.
....here is someone who fought dragons and other knights and *while* wearing heavy armor he not only get stabbed, but would have died had it not been for Artorel and his father being there.
Well, he was definitely caught unawares. You don't expect the average guy on the street to stab you when you're waving hello. What's even more ridiculous, I think, was Aymeric getting stabbed by a peasant with a kitchen knife.

As far as the knife, that's actually one of the more effective ways to get at a heavily armored opponent. It can easily punch through leather/hide; if the blade is thin enough, it can slip between the rings of chainmail or even into a gap between heavy armor plates.
That means, Culinarian > All class. Kitchen Knife FTW \o/What's even more ridiculous, I think, was Aymeric getting stabbed by a peasant with a kitchen knife.
