I recall prior to Heavensward that Yoshi-P mentioned Ishgard was based on high gothic architecture, while the Sharlayan buildings were modeled after Greeks.

So I'm wondering what the original three city-states architecture were based on, and all the beast tribes, Garlemald, ancient Allag, Mhach, Amdapor, etc.....

I think Limsa is by Greek port towns like Santorini, mykonos, etc

Ul'dah seems more Arabian

Vanu Vanu are definitely inspire by new zeal land's Maori

Allagan seem very Tron like

We only have VA for Mhachi, but if that's an indicator then their architecture close to Alien's/ Prometheus Creator race
