Okay so over the course of this game and parts of its lore we have

  • Allag: an empire that fell after its emperor made a deal with the Cloud of Darkness
  • Ascians: Playing their Paragon act to Allag aside, they are also night immortal beings that seem connected to the void
  • Mhach, Amdapor and Nym: between Allag and the modern citystates of Ul'dah, Ishgard, Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, lies three city states that waged war with each other, all three of which faded immeditely
  • The Lambs of Dalamud: Cult that made the Allagin satellite their idol (and the most likely group to try to re-summon Bahamut after the Dravanian Horde...thought not by much) and uses dark rituals to summon voidsent
  • Garlemald: Influenced by Ascians during the A Realm Reborn story arc, and also tried to emulate Allag
  • Archbishop Thordia: ALso incfluenced by Ascians, though he ws playing to use them to his own ends instead ofthe other way around
  • Most Primals: Ascians playing the Paragon act again
See the connection? It seems to me that the Void is the underlying villain of most of the threats we'e seen thus far? using the Allagins, Mhachi and other groups as proxys and Pawns (though I'm not sure if the Ascians are voidsent or not) As a result, most of the 24-man Raids and a good chunk of the villains can be trced back to the Void and its denizens

What do you think? Are the voidsent the real villains of the game (Assuming the Ascians are in or related to this group)?
