-the feeling of accomplishment and uniqueness

-the dangerous mobs at critical moments

-the auction house trade hubs

-the bonding and drama of it's party system

-the engaging transportation system

-the believable travel system

-the starting cities and feeling of belongingness

-the sense of gratitude


we got none of this in FFXIV. the game is a cesspool of freebies which catapults you to pseudo-end game through various mindless means and immersion-breaking mechanics.

one year after the launch they are still trying to tinker with their broken formula.....
