Thread: Crash after hit play, windows 10, directx 9 and 11

I'm really at wits end here, I've been at this for something like 16 hours now and I'm all out of steam

Yesterday my laptop was working 100% perfectly, but after I shut it down and took it back out when I got home, everything went to hell in a handbasket

It was hanging constantly, freezing, crashing, explorer.exe kept locking up, ctrl alt delete would take 5+ minutes to work, the whole thing was nuts, especially when it was 100% perfect not even an hour before I shut it down

I decided with the myriad of problems, to just finally go ahead and put windows 10 on it, which fixed most of the problems, and the last couple I fixed myself

But finally I get to playing ffxiv, which was again working perfectly fine an hour before all of this

And now that it's on windows 10, it crashes the moment I press play, in both directx 9 and directx 11

I've tried updating the drivers, I've tried updating directx, I've restarted the computer, I've wandered all over google and these forums for hours and hours, all night and all morning, and I just can't figure out what to do, I'm kind of panicking because of the 45 day timer to lose my house in game, so I'm sweating about getting this fixed asap

Can someone please help me?

EDIT: While I'm waiting for responses here, I'm going to try reinstalling the game completely, but I have a strong feeling this won't fix anything, however I'd like to at least mark it off my list of solutions
