I'm currently on the server Cactuar and am looking to transfer to a server that is more populated. Just looking for suggestions on which server would be best to transfer to.

Are you asking for which one server is the most populated, or just a list of servers more populated than Cactuar?
Balmung is still #1 for population, I'm pretty sure.
Looking for the server that has the most people.
You can use this site http://luckybancho.ldblog.jp/wsurvey...orld=Gilgamesh to check up on population of every server.
For Aether Datacenter it's Balmung and Gilgamesh. Of the 2 it's Balmung that's the most populated, but Gilgamesh comes close and has a more active raiding (PF) community.
Since I have characters on both servers, I'd have to say Balmung is a bit more friendly in terms of players and livelier due to RPers occasionally setting up events
Any of the worlds that are usually closed to new character creation are going to be pretty high pop compared with Cactuar. Gilgamesh seems to be closed almost as much as Balmung is, so I'd guess their population is close to ours. Not sure about the other data centers.
here's a twist to the question: which server is an active center for people in Oceania? I've researched a lot and it comes down to Tonberry and Behemoth. But, thanks to someone offering a ping check, I found Tonberry pings past 300 while Behemoth is fair at around 130 or so.
I might switch servers there, since I play mostly at night and currently playing in Migardsomr is like playing in an empty server. But since Behemoth is closed to new characters I can't make one and see if its anymore active at night (NZ time zone) as the US ones. Anyone from that server know?
Interesting you have those results because for most people, myself included, Tonberry pings much better. In Australia I get the reverse, pinging tonberry around 124 and the US servers around 300. I think Tonberry has very much become the oceanic server because of this. Not sure how much is left on behemoth, most of the oceanic population migrated tonberry throughout the game's life.here's a twist to the question: which server is an active center for people in Oceania? It's the other way around from personal experience and other real life friend's experiences in Tonberry and Behemoth.here's a twist to the question: which server is an active center for people in Oceania? Yeah, I'm actually in Guam. It shares the NZ timezone so figured going to their particular data center would actually improve ping. But my research tells me that the servers are stationed in places like Canada where it doesn't exactly correlate to that particular location. It could also be possible my network is NA-based (iono really how the whole internet speed and proximity work)which is why I'm pinging higher for Tonberry than Behemoth. I guess I'll hold off that transfer for the moment then till I can actually check the server.
