Creation of the title "Stands as One"

In light of the recent attacks on Paris and the way that the community across all servers came together and held vigils for those affected buy this, I would like to propose the creation of a new title. If possible, I would like to see the title "Stands as One" created and made available to all those who chose to participate in the vigils.

I realize it may be difficult to track exactly who was there but I believe that through screenshots, videos and Square Enix's ability to track who and how many players were in a given area at a given time that it should be possible to make this happen.

So many members of so many servers came together to show solidarity and support for those suffering from this event that I think it appropriate to allow and encourage those players to be able to continue to show support for all the suffering and I believe that we should be able to "Stand as One" to show all of Eorzea and the world that we will unite together in the face of evil and adversity.

I get that you want to honor both the victims in the attack in Paris and the people who took time out of their game to pay respects, but I don't think we should be linking real life events to the game just for titles. It might seem a tad tasteless.

In addition to the logistical difficulties you mention, it's kind of unfair to those who weren't awake for the vigils, and/or were directly affected by the events happening not just in Paris but also in Mexico, Japan and Lebanon. I understand the sentiment, but if you're truly concerned about what happened, a title will do it no justice, only action.

Now, that said, if SE wanted to do a fundraiser of sorts to help people, and to reward people with titles and the like, that would be the right kind of action that everyone would have an equal opportunity to participate in.

I would have no problem making it available to all players who choose to wear it.

Arashmin, your idea is even better. I really wanted to have a open discussion about creating something to show solidarity, I am aware of all the other attacks that have taken place. This particular even really hit home for me and I would like to have a way to show that now and in the future we can all come together and support each other through the hardest of times the world can throw at us.
Miles, I did not mean to be tasteless. If that is your opinion, I can respect that.

This seems tasteless as it would look more like rewarding people for taking part in the vigils...

It is absolutely for the best to not mix games and politics, especially so when you begin equating real life tragedies with in-game rewards.

I went to one of the vigils because I heard the news, didn't feel like playing a game with that sick feeling in my stomach, and thought that maybe quietly showing support might bring some comfort to somebody. I don't think rewards should be given out for something like this; it might encourage people to just show up to get the title rather than because they want to show support to others or are looking for support themselves. We don't need a carrot for everything.

With the amount of outpouring over the Paris attacks gestures such as these could be seen as being just as empty as the Ice Bucket Challenge that was going around last year. Dumping a bucket of ice on your head doesn't really help anyone. Neither does wearing a title. It's all just empty symbolism. Now, if that title came from making a donation through Square, that would be something worth having like when Square was taking donations for relief effort in the Fukushima quake and offering a hat in XI for those who donated.
