I'm hearing that Diadem Gear is basically better than everything?

Why would they make one mode (that doesn't require much skill) make almost everything else irrelevant? So basically when you hit item level 179 - go straight to Diadem - be bored within two weeks?

Most of the diadem gear is utter crap that's only worth turning in for the spoils.

It has the potential to be better than basically everything if you are extremely lucky.

That's RNG for you.

People are blowing this whole thing way out of proportion. Even if you're getting a lot of i210 drops, the likelihood of them being remotely useful or better than what you could have gotten from AS or Esoterics is pretty slim. Unless you get astronomically lucky, you're going to be farming for a long time before you can build a full, really powerful set.

I will admit though it does seem like a pretty nice way to quickly gear up all your alt classes or at least bring them more to par.

its amaze me how people make a thread for every little problem thats not even verified by himself.


and whats wrong with grinding to get a better gear? is it any different than bashing your head over and over again in savage? for me its just a same thing, you spend your time and effort to get your gear as your goal, its just one with bashing your head, and one is wait for 4 month and grind the gear with zergling and deal with heavy RNG. its just a preference.

adding one more point, SE need to give the head starter more incentive than just BRAGGING RIGHTS, while i170 crafting gear have a benefit as gil maker (easier to do macroed crafting, more time effective crafting) if you do the headstart for i170 gear.

for i210 savage gear the incentive is just bragging right, so people who have savage/ do savage for gear, always not counting the 4 month head start is not a big deal.

I would agree with you but the lvl 210 gear from diadem isn't rare by any stretch of the imagination. I went to diadem for just under an hour and saw 7-8 pieces of 210 gear drop, some had crappy bonus stats but most didn't. I love the creators of this game, and I do enjoy playing it. But the devs have no idea what they are doing when it comes to endgame.

I guess you also stopped reading the title at some point, since it ends with a question mark, making this a question and not an opinion. He's saying he heard that and asking us if it's true or not.

Back on topic, the Diardem gear COULD be better but it's way too random. There are multiple layers of RNG involved. First for a NM to appear, then for it to drop something for the job(s) you're looking for, then it has to be on a part of the body you're looking for, then the stats distribution is random, then you have to roll on it (unless you're going on a premade and use lootmaster or you call stuff). If mindless zerging for hours and hours is your thing then go on.
