New Halloween Event highlights complacent quest design

I am personally jack tired of the the quests in this game. The game needs to move past the "Go talk to X number of people inside of the orange circle" variants. It is boring. At least have a boss fight at the end of it for crying out loud.

I just wanted to whine.

Objection! IMO the new seasonal quest has big improvement that you don't need teleport to each city and repeat the "go X for y variant".
Or do you want just to have a seasonal FATE as a boss fight? For me those seasonal FATEs were more tedious.

Anyway most important is the new mount is so great ^^;

I don't see your point. Yeah, this quest didn't require you to teleport to a bunch of different cities. That's because the quest chain was relatively short for how long we've been waiting for any new content. I agree though, the devs abuse the player's ability to teleport around freely far too often. They should focus on creating quests that take place in the zone.

I look forward to Alphinaud haphazardly sending me around all over Eorzea again in 3.1 to talk to people and pick up things off the ground, before I get a trial fight towards the end of it.

I loved the All Saint's Wake quests. To each his own though.

My point was this event has moved past
from the "teleport to each city" + "Go talk to X number of people inside of the orange circle" variants
to just "Go talk to X number of people inside of the orange circle" variants
so it is less boring and IMO it was an improvement.

I just worry your suggestion will turn into adding "teleport to each city" plus "camping for seasonal fates" outside every city ^^;

Btw, the new event items are so good! The best free item since cash shop is added.
Therefore IMO this quest deserves many likes ^^;

As long as no more camp a fate, go camp another fate, grind fate to buy items etc.... I'll be happy. It was fun though finding the monsters to zap with.

the problem is these events are designed for low lvl so everyone can do them. that includes people who just startet the game.

if they implement bossfights they have to do it with fates for downsync your lvl 60 char. and we all love fates (at lvl 10), don't we?

You have to be level 20 to do the event. Tried it on an alt that was only 12 and it wouldn't let me.
