Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME

Whoa, that was a lot of posts. You can keep everything in one post (which makes it a lot easier to read a long rant...) by posting something short then editing the original message to add the rest of the text.
I'm not a legacy player because even though I wanted to play back then my computer couldn't run it. I missed a lot of perks as a result, but the thing I regret more than anything else is that I missed the story that we can never play again. I'm really envious of the people who toughed it out and saw the game world as it used to be; however, I can never go back.
Conceptually the no-longer-available soundtrack minions are a very similar thing. Some people had the resources and knowledge to pick up the soundtracks back when they were new, and thus they have exclusive minions today. It sounds like you are ok with legacy status being exclusive (because you have it) but not with newer players having exclusive minions (because you don't). Both situations are a case of someone being in the right place at the right time, with the right access to resources. If you could afford a decent gaming PC, game and subscription back in 1.0, congrats, you had more disposable cash then than I did. That's exactly the same situation you're criticising now when you didn't have the funds available to buy those soundtracks.
First press bonuses are a very common thing with Japanese CD releases and frankly speaking, they're probably necessary in keeping game CD releases coming out at all. The soundtracks for this game are very expensive, with their deluxe BD releases, and incentivising people to buy them instead of waiting around for them to show up on the used market later made them a natural match for exclusive vanity items.
I don't have a moogle suit. The fairest sounding suggestion I have read is the one which proposes that people who stream the next event can choose to have either the old reward or something new, so they can make a tough decision while the people who bought the stream access previously can have both rewards without making any compromises at all. But I understand if they decide to keep it exclusive forever, because as jealous as those who missed out might be the people who supported the previous stream were promised something special and made their decision based on that promise. I think that a lot of old players would be angry if S-E gave out legacy rewards to ARR players, even via the cash shop, because it's meant to signify something you've done, like a time-limited achievement.

Oh my gosh guess what! There's this site called Youtube and it's completely free to access!
Not to mention the other very easy to access "permanent" options to listen to the OST.
I get it, you wanna support the company and the OST is great etc etc etc.
That's fine - but why would they take the item away to scorn future customers who are just as entitled when they're paying no more or no less? Go to google right now and look up how many people were upset about the price of the OST, and now how many people are upset that they purchased it and can't use or didn't get the codes.
Those codes should never, ever have been tied to those OSTs. The moogle attire should be in the store too, if they wanted to leave a mark - then why not put it in the store to celebrate the event.
https://store.na.square-enix.com/pro...ray-music-disc
$49.99 USD before shipping.
So I'm looking a a $100 reproduced non-special edition OST that comes with nothing else?
It essentially costs more for the OST than it does for the game that contains the OST.
Make sense of this.
Sorry, I guess you don't collect music and just don't understand.Oh my gosh guess what! There's this site called Youtube and it's completely free to access!

It's okay.

It's a Blu-ray disc with extra content, and it's not particularly more expensive than previous Final Fantasy game soundtracks which come with no extras at all. The last soundtrack was about 500yen more than a standard FF OST and that's explained by the format. Comparing free pirated music with paid music completely undermines your stance; if anything, you're saying that you will only buy FF music if it comes with exclusive content otherwise you could just pirate it. Ok, so they need to release more exclusive DLC with soundtracks in future to get your sale. Got it.
I mentioned somewhere..was it this thread? No it was the other one.. anyway
I mentioned that the Japanese love like ABSOLUTELY LOVE limited edition items. You don't like that? You're going to have to change Japanese culture.
You didn't get the OST when the minions were with it? Essentially that's Too Bad. Do I agree with it? Well... that's not what this is about. Maybe, hopefully, they decide to do less limited edition items, or allow them to be available in other ways.

First, thanks for the help with the post limit - though I just already discovered the trick in another thread.Whoa, that was a lot of posts. I don't have a moogle suit. You have sorta constructed your own false idea of me here. I'm only OK with the legacy status because it was an in-game related event, that... and I have to be OK with it. Because it exists and there's nothing to be done about it unless it's removed, which a lot of people would hate. I would actually like it more if they took away the achievements etc and kept the availability of the items. Unobtainable and exclusive items are horrible, and should be kept to a minimal amount if necessary. I hate them more than anything else in an MMO. However the legacy status had nothing to do with buying something outside of the game itself, all you had to do was sub. It was fair and essentially some way of gifting back the bread and butter to their game. It's completely different - but if I could choose to remove it in exchange for fairness and availability of ALL other exclusives, I would. It's actually more painful than you'd expect to look at your incomplete legacy achievements.
Also I do understand the sales pitch, but had they kept the codes available with the purchase - I may have considered buying them at SOME point in time. Most people can't just magically have $100 to spash out on each CD because they want money faster.
You could probably tell me to make a new character, I'm not going to do that because - well it's a stupid idea LMAO.
Let me clarify though, I think the moogle attire is butt ugly. Whoever designed it should be shot tbh. But w.e floats peoples boats lmao. I've already made my point on the subject.

I would like a different in-game item to the Moogle suit. I wonder when they are going to do another fan fest.
You're right - and I will deal with it.I mentioned somewhere..was it this thread? No it was the other one.. anyway

However that doesn't mean I won't express my dislike for it, because with your attitude it won't change. Even if exclusive items REMAIN exclusive, the least they could do is prevent it from happening in the future. However, I could be wrong - they have brought back some event items already. Who knows, they may bring them all back and I'll retract all I've said about them. But for now I stick to my words, because you know, they've already done the deed.
